Some People Try To Mock Paris Hilton After She Showcases Her Art, But Others Say It’s Not So Bad And Are Really Proud Of Her
Everyone seems to have an opinion about Paris Hilton, but one thing we’ve learned about her is that she’s always full of surprises. She’s really into art, paints pictures, and even makes detailed collages! She recently shared this side of her on YouTube and gave a tour of her art room where she’s been spending a lot of time since the quarantine started.
The internet had wildly different reactions when they saw what 39-year-old Paris has made. Some people were quick to judge her work and said that it wasn’t anything special. However, a lot of others complimented Paris for having an artistic outlet and said that it was refreshing to see her creative side. After all, art is art, right?
Among the artwork Paris made is a painting of her boyfriend’s mother’s cat (our fave), a collage of skulls, and even a collage featuring Sonic the Hedgehog. She’s currently working on her “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” collage. Scroll down, have a look at Paris’ art, and let us know in the comments what you think, dear Pandas!

Paris Hilton loves making art! She gave a tour of her art room and showed her collages and paintings
Here are a couple of her collages
Paris even made a skull collage
She also loves drawing cats
This is the collage that she’s working on right now
She’s even made collages about herself
The emoji collage is one of Paris’ favorite ones
And here’s the painting she made for her BF’s mom
She drew a cat with its tongue sticking out for a charity called Doodles for Dollars
You can watch Paris’ full video about what she does at home during the quarantine right here

“I’ve literally been going crazy cutting things out, I’ve bought like every single magazine,” Paris said in her YouTube video. One of her favorite collages features lots of emojis, but it’s very clear that one of her biggest passions is drawing cats.
In her YouTube video, we can see her live-drawing a cat with its tongue sticking out and stars in its eyes for a charity called Doodles for Dollars. Funnily enough, Paris’ cat joined her while she was drawing a feline on her iPad.
According to Paris, digital drawing is great because it lets her practice as much as she wants and then “not mess up the canvas” when she starts painting.
We also learned that Paris is enjoying staying at home with her pets and her boyfriend, and not having to travel nonstop. She revealed that she’s doing a lot of different charity work, including with her family’s Hilton Foundation. Paris also introduced a lot of us to a new word—”sliving” (pronounced like “Slytherin”) which is slaying + living. She seems to have taken a shining to it.
Some internet users were very critical of Paris’ paintings and collages…
…however, lots of people were very supportive of Paris and had nice things to say about her art
I don't think that Paris should be slammed for what she is doing. She is having fun and being happy doing something because she wants to and I like some of her stuff. Art comes in all forms and is just a personal expression of what she enjoys. At least she is staying in and isolating and being responsible and not trying to go out and putting herself and others at risk. And as for bad art Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan bought a piece of the fruit at a local supermarket and then slapped it on a white wall at the Perrotin Parisian gallery during a VIP preview party, it later sold for $120,000 at Art Basel Miami. There was even a time when a toilet a couple of house bricks and half a dead cow was thought of as being "amazing" works of art that ended being sold for thousands. The art world is as full of c**p as it is amazing works. All Paris is doing is having fun. Leave her be and let her enjoy herself.
@Aunt Messy. No she is not patted on the back. But no need to slam her down for enjoying something either.
Load More Replies...If you draw a stick man it's art. It's in the eye of the beholder. I am not a fan of her's, bit hey, each to their own. Call it what you like- she enjoys it.
Don't like her one bit, but art is subjective, so yeah, let her be.
Load More Replies...Scientific illustrator here-- She definitely hasn't practiced much on her art, but come on, everyone starts out their art journey with their art looking bad. Just let her do what she loves, and you'll see her improve like magic :D
That fine but she's not worthy of national press because her last name is Hilton. She's a pathetic attention seeker and next week the art will be gone and she'll be wasting more of her parents money on another perverted attempt to be seen as relevant. Post up when she goes to visit kids in cancer wards at hospitals across the country and donates her hours trying to give a youngster a smile and don't forget to tell us when she drops her inheritance on St Judes Hospital and decides to become a working self sufficient member of American society.
Load More Replies...She can do what she wants, yes, but she will get exposure just for being famous. It' is dreadful s**t with the target audience of under 5s. People will probably buy some of it for thousands just because of her name and this is what's wrong with the world. There are so many amazing artists who get hardly any exposure because they aren't rich already.
I mean.....have you ever been to an art museum and saw all the c**p they hang in there? Looking and shaking your head and saying " a 5 year old could do that"? That's the kind of garbage that passes as art. I don't get it But her c**p art is just as good as a lot of c**p art I've paid to see in art museums.
Agree! Even those sold for millions where they just painted a whole canvas with yellow and blue paint & a lot more crappy "arts". She is not even a professional artist/painter to start with, why judge her work. Not even selling it to the public as well. People just need to be chill.
Load More Replies...Good for her, expressing yourself is therapeutic, relaxing, cathartic, whatever you feel. But the idiots who want to buy it? They're the reason this world is doomed.....
As an artist who's been doing art for 7 years, lemme just. Apologize for the pretentious artists that thinks it's alright to say such terrible things about someone who's just having fun. Skill level doesn't matter. If I tried to make food (I'm terrible at it) and I ended up making something I was really proud of, and posted it, chefs wouldn't be impressed either, but they shouldn't say horrible stuff about it just because they can. We're not all good at everything, but we can all have fun with what we're doing, and be proud of ourselves when we improve, otherwise we'll never get better.
Heiress to a multi-billion dollar fortune. That's literally the only reason anyone even mentions what she does. That's what I object to.
At least she's not storming government buildings with guns demanding an end to lockdowns.......and sanity. It's not great, but I've seen worse. On the other hand, you get those "artists" who do flow paintings and think they're amazing, because they can follow the instructions on a four minute YouTube video. There's at least some merit in originality, even if it it doesn't look that great.
art is so subjective. can you tell Picasso painting are ugly? i Don't like it because i Don't like that kind of art but it's personnal, I find it ugly because it's not the style i love. An artist i really like it's Iam Ramsay an English painter. My wife Don't she's more into Monet, Van Gogh… Don't forget some people bought a banana tape to a wall with a ducktape…
As someone who knows nothing about art, other than the fact that I either like it or don't, thanks for introducing me to Ian Ramsay- I like his style and use of colour. Will investigate further.

Not a fan of this art, but I also despise Jeff Koons' work as well. They seem to have the same sort of themes to me, though hers is obviously more unformed compared to his.
I can say it certainly doesn't float my boat, but if she is happy with it then go for it. I find that I don't understand the vision of most art, why would hers be any different.
I have no interest in bashing her wealth. I have an issue with wealth inequality.
Most people do have an issue with wealth inequality until they realise they are on the wealthy side

Art is in the eye of the beholder. She is proud of her work and is making use of some down time instead of bitching about it.
I would totally buy the cat art, regardless of who the artist is.
Given the fact that modern art is 99% b******t and the product of metabolic brain damage, who's to say that Paris Hilton's art isn't art?
I never 'mock' anyone trying to express their own creativity. I mean, how am I to judge?
I don't think much of her as a person and celebrity. But for those who are slamming her "art"... well if you are a professional artist then you f*****g know better than to disparage other people's work that haven't asked for your critique. And if you are not, let's see your best effort at art, I'm sure it looks like what the rest flushed down the toilet this morning.
Art is subjective. The collage photos are crafts, the painting is art. She made it for someone else's, no biggie here. People are hating because she is rich. Just imagine those ridiculous paintings that were sold for millions of dollars (Google it). People telling that they don't care yet here they are commenting. You can scroll past the article post if you don't like it.
Everyone has a right to be creative wether its good or not in the eyes of everyone else. Art is a private and personal adventure for your creativity. Paris does not need to justify herself to anyone.
I love what she is doing and her art is very creative! Please let her have fun creating artwork.
I'm proud of her expression of the way she uses art. Very lighthearted and wholesome, nothing hurting anybody. I apologize for the people who have been bashing her because she happens to have an unprofessional art style. Know that just because someone is an older adult doesn't automatically make them a professional at something. I knew a lot of younger people who have a crude art style, but I also know a couple of adults who also draw crudely. Art is supposed to have no boundaries, and paradoxically, she's going by these rules. Painters like Claude Monet were heavily criticized for their art style, yet his paintings are appreciated today. The point is, there's someone out there that's always going to be a critic. Sure, the internet can be a judge and you are free to do so, but she's not doing it for criticism, so why bother expecting her to receive it? She is just having fun doing what she is enthusiastic about, and I commend her for that. Keep up the good work, Paris.
The important part is having fun and enjoying yourself in the end. Art can be so good for your mental health and an amazing outlet for stress. Its not about what you create but its about how you feel while you are doing it, if it makes you feel good then thats what matters. Good on her for spending her time doing something that she enjoys just because thats a lesson that we can all learn from.
Her art is colourful, kitschy in a good way and not bad. Quite cute actually. And she's not hurting anyone, what's the problem?
What's the point of saying "that's bad art" / "no art" / "xx year old could make that better" [...]? The point of art is expressing oneself, relaxing, creating [...]. She is creating stuff, she uses her handmade art as presents, which means, that she thought about it and it most likely will be appreciated. It can't be easy to constantly be presented for the whole world to see, and to be assessed for every step/movement. Better to have an outlet (painting/writing/running/cycling [...]), than to bottle up everything and break at some point. Don't judge anybody for his/her creations/achievements... ...
It makes her happy. It's not hurting anyone. And if someone buy something she made for charity then good. My family has always encouraged each other be creative and to make some sort of art or writing. Even it it is just shared with each other. Make something creative and let yourself enjoy it.
I think it's great she's sharing her creative work! If she enjoys doing it, where's the problem? Paris is, after all, human. I really like the way she does the cats!!
Art really has 2 components. The process and the product. I think this is a lot about the process of creating, which I commend. Nearly anyone can create. Some create better than others. But I think everyone should create. And think of the purpose. These works are not necessarily meant for a gallery, but for their creator, as a reflection of the creator.
Why is everyone so mean like damn, you're probably no DeVinci either so lay off lmao
The art is mediocre, kind of like the stuff you see in grade school. But so what, if it makes her happy thats what counts. She does better then I could do.I am all about stick figures in crayons.
I liked her cat paintings. Those are pretty cool, and much better than what I could do. The rest, blah.
She needs to pick one format for her art and work on that. Her stuff is child like but most likely up until now she was allowed nor had time to express her self in art. I have seen what I believe to be garbage in museums that wasn't half as good as her work.
I always thought that Paris Hilton is just a soiled rich kid, nothing more; considering what everything can be classified as art, I give her credit for her creativity.......and mostly for not complaining of boredom.
It's funny how so many real artists are outraged at her for getting press over this. Whiny little bitches. Go get your own publicity. She's setting a good example by staying home and finding something to do with her time. That scores points in my book. If she sells these and donates the proceeds, bravo.
I love the kitty ones! Each to their own. Good on her for being creative!
I just got a feeling, that I actually think she is sweet, but the "art"? A 15 year old would make something more exciting.
Look, I don't care about her at itself. Not my style but whatever. I have a problem with her being almost 40 and still acting like she's 23. She's never tried or had to live life in a semi-formal way. Even her sister has grown up. She has no responsibilities that someone else doesn't take care of. I bet she wouldn't even know how to pay her own bills if Daddy's accountant didn't do it for her. She's never had to take responsibility for her own life. She's been allowed to live her life perpetually like she's in her twenties no one has ever said enough is enough. I guess I have a bigger problem with her parents who never bothered to prepare her for adult life.
Totally agree with the last sentence, Carrie. She didn't take responsibility for her life because she didn't have to.

I know people with little more talent than this who claim to be artists and even try to make a living out of it. I find that more outrageous than this basic woman entertaining herself in quarantine. So for the first and probably last time in my life, I'm gonna say leave her alone. She's not harming anyone, and if someone wants to buy her c**p, that's very much up to them.
also, a comment says it looks like a 12 yr old did this..first of all, if u want to say that u should really keep those kinds of things to urself.and also 12 yr olds can do alot.
everyone has there own unique art style. I love it. it's creative and fun.
Sure art is subjective, but it is concerning that she seems to be mentally stuck in preadolescence. Not talking about skill level or anything, just subject matter.
This isn'tart, these are the doodles we did in school at the age of 12. Then we either developed into something better or realised we're not artists and just kept doodling during meetings. Yes she shold continue if it makes her happy, but callng it art is an insult to real artists.
...You do realize that she's literally having fun with her hobby? Everyone was a beginner at some point. Whether you are a 12 year old who is absolutely amazing at drawing or a 56 year old who's just starting, they are equally valid. Stop s******g on people just trying to live their lives. Geez
Load More Replies...As an artist...she's expressing herself and that's fine, it may not be great but it's a hobby for her (or so it appears), and with time everyone can improve
Have a little pity for the BF's mom, please. As for her art, face it: when you put you work on public display you are asking for public comment. She needs no defenders as she apparently can't be embarrassed.
Paris Hilton: the ultimate "famous for nothing" moron. Her taste is all in her mouth.
After 15 minutes of laughing I was able to compose myself to type this. I'm going to need to get changed though due to the tears of laughter drenching my t-shirt.
Sorry but to give Paris any press recognition in light of what is going on in this country is absurd at best. This privileged fool is not worthy of the applause that she is seeking by sharing this 3rd grade level c**p and the gall to call it art insults the reader. This is c**p ! Paris go get a job, go help kids in a cancer ward at a hospital have a fun day by making cut and paste shite like this and then it will actually have some value. This is literally the worst story ever published on Bored Panda. Bored Panda you are way above this and have provided so many great stories to keep us sane during this quarantine but this story is pathetic content and Paris has done absolutely nothing for her country to earn or deserve any recognition. She's just a rich white privileged loser looking for any attention she can get.
People are quite correct to mock her and her "art", she is a bore and it is clearly child-standard stuff at best. Just being honest.
I don’t like her. Everything she does is childish. She’s like the female version of Peter Pan. Whatever though. She wants to paint preteen paintings go ahead. I’m still sleeping tonight
She's an Aquarius and so was my Ex. And they have almost the exact same type of art styles. Quirky and self styled. Ya know, that Aquarian THINGY!
Yes of course , 1/12th of the population all share the same artistic qualities because they happen to all be born at a certain time of year, don't be so ridiculous.

In the air of debate: What categorizes something as "art"? Or 'good'/'bad' art for that matter? Jackson Pollock, arguably, just threw paint on things but, because they were the size of a wall, it was labeled as something tortured and beautiful. Still just drips. Banksy, for all intents and purposes, does the same thing Paris is doing and just puts pictures on things, and then puts other pictures on top of those, and his originals are highly sought after -- a decade ago, it was just graffiti...

Geez
