My name is Matt Burgess I am an ocean photographer from Australia. I enjoy capturing the ocean in its many moods, one thing that draws me to the water most mornings before the sun rises is the relationship between water and light. I have been capturing ocean images for around 6 years now and to me there is no better way to start the day.

The Beast
The interior ripples and the soft lighting gives the image a glossy look that mimics the texture of ice... if I didn't know it was a crashing wave, I'd have thought it was frozen aftermath of a strong blizzard...
i can't even imagine how hard will the photographer take a stunning picture of the wave gesture 😍😍
People don't understand the enormity of the oceans. I have dove in them and it's another world.
I agree with your second statement Pattie. I am a certified open water scuba diver and have been in the depths of our vast oceans. It truly feels like a foreign world below the surface..

I love water and oceans. You're pics are amazingly beautiful. I am wondering how much time and effort you've put to get these pictures. One thing is for sure you're a person with tremendous patience and eye for beauty.

How is it possible to get so close to these beautiful waves. Some of them look like "the calm before the storm". I am totally fascinated by your technique!

This looks great. The pictures appear to be calming/soothing , even if there is an enormous angry wave that splashes against a rock. As a huge printed picture on an otherwise empty wall they would be perfect. Do you sell them?
