There are many ways how one can acquire a pet cat - it can be bought from breeders, it can be adopted from a shelter, chosen from a pet store or even be inherited. But there's one more way of getting a cute cat, and it's when the feline chooses you himself.
Now, we all know that cats follow their funny cat-logic of doing things, and more than often that includes picking their masters (or servants) to their liking. Some charm their way into adoption through gentle purring and the disarming power of the Puss in Boots stare. Others... well, trespass and claim your pillow as their new bed.
So, if you'll ever hear loud meowing noises at around 4 in the morning or be woken up from slumber by crashing sounds - congratulations, you now have a cat! Some even more obscure ways of the felines choosing their masters might include crazy cats jumping in a car through an open window, persistently following you on the street pretending to be a lost cat or even declaring your porch as the safest place for them to have their cute kittens.
Bored Panda has compiled a list of cat photos documenting these curious stories, and it's certainly one to make your cat senses tingle.

My Parents Started Feeding A Stray Kitten A Couple Weeks Ago. This Was Their Front Porch Today
So...this is my wife and our 5 children...we would like a table for 7, please!
They all look a tad skeptic. Like, they don't believe their tiny friend he got food out of you and came to verify for themselves.
He's like, "what's the family situation gotten me into?"
Load More Replies...Haha this definitely looks like a family of kitties. My parents have 5 acres & have to put food bowls out in several far apart places so that there isn't a territory dispute (the separation is for the feral cats. My parents also have 5 of their own who don't fight & they get fed in their own little house that was converted from a shed). My parents often set up no kill traps & get the kitties spayed or neutered, then they let them back out on their property. The number has been around a steady 4 for years now; the feral cats won't allow more but if one dies they let another on to the territory.
I did this in the sixties at a quarry I used to run sand from and there was a family of WILD cats that lived under an old railway car used as a storehouse, one old moggy started it, she was the most flea ridden moth eaten thing on this earth, I used to get to the quarry early to get in front of the big que of trucks that would turn up at 05.30, so I thought I would have a sarny, out she came all screams and claws so I threw her a bit of my sarny, this went on for a couple of weeks until I was moved to a different quarry until by the last day I was surrounded by about forty moggies, all her decendant's all pinching my breakfast until it nearly bankrupted me feeding them all, I don't know what happened to them all as they shut that quarry down after I left.
Such a nice story that you took care of them all, but now I'm worried about what happened to them. I hope God looked out for them, and sent them another good samaritan. God bless you. :-)
Load More Replies...Been there. done that, only we were feeding a feral cat on frigid winter mornings. Day 2, 2 cats; day 3, 3 cats; day 5, 5 cats.
it was you get their trust then we will all come ok got it , yes dad
Cats (and dogs) know the right homes to trust--that's why they appear in or near those homes so often.
You have to let them in and send some out for cat food four litter boxes , cat litter, and real butter. Butter each paw to keep them happy while they settle into their new home. After a bit, name them good two word names and take them to the Vet to get Fixed and checked out and shots. Now they will be wonderful furry cuddle buddies forever. Mom and dad and children you are so blessed.
I CANNOT STOP GUT LAUGHING! SO TRUE! At one point we had 15-18 cats all eating on our front porch!!! Bahahaha!!!!!!!!
Good food, but the wait for a table. Wish we'd never done a review on Open Table.
That's how it starts. You feed one and soon you're the crazy cat person of the neighborhood with your own feral colony.
This sorta happened to me. I started feeding four kitten, and then suddenly they must have told their friends because then there were six.. I eventually rescued one of the feral kittens and named him Zumba. He is a great baby brother to my Siamese cat Loki.
How cute is that. People don't you know that cats will tell other dates about a free meal and a wonderful person who live there
Sorry, you may get one or two others, but never this many. Not believable.
Looks like the entire extended family is trying to get in on the handouts (Mama and Dad and at least 5 siblings... wow!
Why doesn't stuff like this happen to me?? They are so cute!! Well it could be the 4 little dogs I have...but still
This is just like my son's home and then litters were born and he'd have 12 kittens bunched together sleeping!
the entire family!!! aaahhhhhhhh sweet! they al look like mommy....daddy is th black guy....Black/white/red cats are almost always female....and male cats (with testikels) do grow a rectanular face (squere....how do you write it??? i am dutch)
This is the only sense of purpose I need. If this showed up at my door, I'd die and go to Heaven on the spot! ACCKKK!
They put something in the cat paper about a door that magically gives food.

It reminds me about "A stray cat named Bob", great movie based on a great story. Cat, coming out of nowhere, giving a reason to live to a lost human.
I've got the Book, I just haven't prepared myself to read it yet!!
Load More Replies...No, you don't own a cat. Nobody owns cats. The cats own themselves. The cat owns you.
Just a question of the wrong tense, here. Instead of 'I don't have a cat', read: 'I didn't have a cat.'
I sincerely hope that people checked listings for missing kitties before simply adopting these cities, specifically the ones who had collars! Lol but other than that? For the kitties without humans, I hope they now have happy homes!!
How?! How do they get in??? This is a serious question. I'm sure SOME of these folks left doors or windows open but.....how!!!
I don't own a cat, but now I will leave my windows and doors open so a cat can own me!
These are pretty awesome. The only thing i take exception to is the concept of "Cat Ownership." NO ONE really "owns" a cat. If anything, we humans are the adopted ones.

They say that cats will only come to you if they know they can, so it's true that you never own a cat, only that they own you. Stray cats of all ages find their way to our house in the country.
Hello, and welcome to the wonderful world of cat servitude. Here's what you need to know to get started: 1. Contrary to popular belief, cats aren't pets. You cannot own or have a cat. Cats are our lords and masters, and, consequently, we can only serve 2. If you have cultivated a home environment deemed suitable for habitation, you may find yourself graced with the presence of a cat. This is a perfectly normal part of the process 3. Do not attempt to locate the previous owners of your new lord and master. They have been deemed less worthy of serving a cat than you. It is unwise to question the choices of the master. 4. You may mistakenly believe you dislike cats, or are allergic to them. This is false propaganda spread by dogs in an effort to overthrow their rightful rulers. Cats are amazing. They bring you presents and pee on your things. Any ill health you feel is simply as a result of not working hard enough to please your feline master. We recommend you work harder.
A the little bob cat, hope you fed it and called wildlife preserve they are getting killed off .. B the tiny white one squeeking in the back yard needed some TLC and then the next day look for owner or find a no kill shelter.. Once my cat had kittens and they was only a day old. About 4am i was woken by this huge bang in the room the kittens where in. I got up and went in and saw this huge black cat in the room.. in my sleep deprived state all I could think was to say ‘who the f**k are you?’ Like it’s gonna answer me 🤷🏻♀️😂
One day my grandad (long before me) was driving home from work on the oil rigs when he found a black kitten in the back of his car. It wasn't frightened, so he fed it and took it home. The cat settled in quick, but refused to come into the house... Until Christmas day, when grandma looked up and saw him sitting on the window sill to be let in! And that was that 😂

Cats really go wandering around and even have multiple owners. "Our cat" was known to visit at least 2 more houses frequently. If there is a way to get to a cozy please - they just go. There is food too? Even better.

Cats really go wandering around and even have multiple owners. "Our cat" was known to visit at least 2 more houses frequently. If there is a way to get to a cozy please - they just go. There is food too? Even better.
