every morning i'd see robin beat a wing. over to the newly planted tree to which there was tied a piece of string that every morning he tried to tug free. one day, help i thought i'd bring. cut the thread to some degree. now every morning robin beats a wing to play with string on a different tree. ( i really thought he wanted that string for nesting, but it was his pull toy that i ruined. ) Gang aft agley.
when i was a kid my mom would place scrap strings/twine of natural fabric in the garden.. then we could walk around the neighborhood and notice our colors in nests..

I love these! They are beautifully illustrated, clever, sweet, insightful, and my favorite of anything I've ever seen on Bored Panda! That's saying a lot, considering the number of postings I've looked at over the last 3 or more years of being a loyal Panda!
None of these had a twist ending or a dark ending. BP are you ok??? That title doesn't match
