30 Years Ago, This Mom Bought 2 Identical Teddies – One For Her Son And Another For Her Son’s Child
In 1985, one mom bought her son two identical teddy bears – one for him to play with, and one was placed in storage for him to give to his own children when he grows up. Now that his first child was finally born, his younger brother created a photo comparing the two reunited teddies.
The younger brother, who posted the two photos on Reddit, wrote that the played-with bear had “been on many vacations, gotten soaked in pool water time and time again, and got lost on a theme park ride at Disney World. It has certainly seen a lot.” If you've still got your childhood teddies with you, you can add their pic to this post below!

I had one of these too! :D I still have a Puffalump collection in storage along with their hot air balloon carrier. I had the blue dog/puppy one and slept with it for a long time until my mother made me put it away. She told me I could take him back out and sleep with him again on my wedding night, and since she died 3 years ago I know it sounds silly but I still intend to as a way to honor her memory.

I had a teddy bear when I was four years old that I took care of and actually thought was alive. My mother cut the ears off of that teddy bear because I used to draw on the walls (the real reason was that she hated me) and I still have that teddy bear. You can imagine how the next decades went.

Omg, can you PLEASE tell me what size the first 2 are? I had my baby 'Mont' (I couldn't pronounce 'Le Mutt' lol) for 23 years and then the box he was in on moving day was stolen from my car 😭 10 years later and my heart is still broken. My husband has spent over $300 trying to replace him for me, but the first one he bought was too small and the second was huge. I love them both but I'd still love to have one like mine...

She's been through 2 different outfits my grandma would replace and see on her. I have 2 others in different colors and I've always favored the yellow one. Her name is Molly and I still sleep with her to this day. I'm 22 years old and not ashamed at all. to the author .. .. and respondents thanks for a really fun post / blog to read you all hit one of my soft spots .. ah yes i have just this xmas (before reading this story) recieved a new 'cuddles' (from my wife of 42 yrs) of my stuffed monkey cuddles 2 the first one was lost in germany and replaced in 1957 and (acording to mom at the time ) traveled till he found where he was made to get a new coat before returning to me all furry and new a few months after loseing him ... sorry no pics yet .. cuddles 2 has made his home in the fireproof lock box for about 42 years to insure his safety with every inportant document i ever had the new one cuddles 3 has more freedom on the dresser . hugs to all and thanks .. davida

I love this. When my son was little he called his bear Blue Beer or just Beer. When he was about 3 yrs old he told our neighbors that I gave him "Beer" every night so he would go to sleep!

What a cute post. I still have my ancient teddies too, each of them more than 60 years old. One used to be my dad's, the other one my uncle's. They're ragged, stitched up and ugly, but I still love them all the same. Now I feel slightly less embarrassed about keeping them for all these years. :)

I was born in 1985 to butdo to moving,floods in basement and couple house fires I ddon't have any of my old plushes and my sisters dog prior to are movr from condo to a house thought my popples tasted good the few that hadn't been peed on by one of our two female family cat peed on out of jealousy of sisters that ended up being only 1 coming. It was way to claim me by peeing on stuff yes female cats do do that. Cat peesmell ddidn'twash out

I actually still have the same teddy bear on my bed that I had since I was a child.. Had to hand stitch close some bursting areas, lost the shine, & still have paint stains I spilled on it's face. It's one of the most important possessions after so many years..
