“Parenting doesn’t end when the sun goes down.” These are the words of a Social influencer and a mom-of-three Melanie Darnell.
Melanie gained her following by sharing her experiences of how to be a great mom and stay fit at the same time. Currently, she has over 87k followers on Instagram and lately the number has been rapidly growing because of one video she shared that close to every parent was able to relate.
After 10 months of waking up tired, Melanie decided to do an experiment. She duct taped a camera to the ceiling above her bed and filmed her night.
The video reveals the reality of parenting – you are never done parenting and if the baby needs you, you don’t have a choice but to get up and attend your child.
Many people loved the honesty of the video and the message that Melanie shared. “My hope was moms around the world could take comfort in knowing at the very same middle-of-the-night moment each of us is cradling our babies in the dark of our homes, together in this shared experience of motherhood.”

Share on FacebookI don't get it. Why are so many new parents today acting like they invented parenthood? Parents have been sleep deprived for millions of years, get over yourselves, people.
It's more about the fact that there's so much parent shaming about different ways to raise your kids that more parents are posting about the actual struggles of parenthood instead of acting like everything is picture perfect.

Where is the father? Why isn't he helping out? She can't clock out from being a mother, but he can clock out from work. Why isn't he helping with at least one child?
I don't want to be the person who mentions it, but the better word choice instead of "sleeped" (which isn't a word, by the way) would be "slept". "Slept", as most of us know, is the past tense version of "sleep". Nice proof reading, BoredPanda!
WERE'S DADDY? And does she have memory problems? She doesn't remember doing all these things? If not, those kids could be in danger - ie falling off the bed while she goes for the other kid. Walking around half asleep and falling over said kid when she returns to bed?
I wonder how many people realize that having babies is going to totally change their lives, every single aspect of it. I think if they did, many would perhaps decide that having babies might not be their thing. Why do so many people need to make babies anyways? Is it an ego thing? To pass on their genes or family name? I knew at a very young age, that having kids was not for me and I took steps to insure that would never happen. Not out of selfishness but knew I wanted to travel the world, have a career and experience more out of life than raising a family. I have never regretted that decision and wish more people would take a good hard look at their life goals before popping out kids, esp those who cant afford them. I know this prob. wont be appreciate but then again, it is just my opinion and my life choices. I would never preach this to others, it's just my thoughts on it.
I knew at a very early age there's no way in hell I want to children. And this just reinforces my

I do feel better now...
Step 1 never take kids to your bed, unless they are really sick , just teach em you will ignore em at night asap
I hope she does not think this is in anyway unique ... Every parent goes through this and worse. All parents don't feel the need to post common stuff online though.
These kids don’t have beds of their own? How did she even get pregnant the second time if she insists on infantilizing her children to the point where they will never develop any independence at all? Privacy is a human right. Kids that are raised to never be out of body contact with their mothers (this child abuse is called “attachment parenting”) end up unable to make social contact or bond with people other than their mothers. ... Their mothers are raising them to be insecure, frightened of everything, and mentally ill.
Plus you are wrong with your last sentence - researches proof that being close with out chilren does not makes them "insecure, frightened of everything, and mentally ill." Actually, it's the opposite. Just read up about "attachment parenting"
