At least you let yourself contemplate these things. Lots of people refuse to.

As far as need goes vs want, all i technically need in life is food water shelter clothes and I would throw in purpose. Me and my husband our pregnant with our first and i can say that before i never wanted to be pregnant but i wanted to be a mom. At midnight on my 31st birthday i all of a sudden (literally) got extremely excited about the process of being pregnant. Me and my husband have always wanted to take care of and nurture our family we knew it would be larger one day and it has become part of our purpose in life to to teach and let our new one experience life and be there for him when its not so great. Not everyone has this desire and not everyone thinks about it. Some people are just being irresponsible with there actions. But for those of us who want its a part of our purpose. Anytime we don’t work towards, even in The smallest way, our purpose or dreams, we end up regretful, and regret is like a poison that when not dealt with kills us faster.

Can you provide anything to back up that initial premise? I know no one who hasn't thought about the kids they are or are not having!

And hated every minute of it? Or are you just that frustrated to begin with... Dude. There is no point to procreation, there is no point to live except the ultimate distribution of all possible information at which point it collapses and starts all over. Also kids can be fun at times.

When these thoughts come to my mind i always look at miserable old people who never had family. They usually get old alone, going depressed, have no one to talk to, old friends and neighbours are not interested in them anymore, usually no motivation in life whatsoever... miserable life where you die alone sadly at the end.

She made comics about her own experiences. If you want ones about you, make them yourself.

Hopefully when my kids are teens I'll still be drawing and then I can make some comics about teenagehood! I don't have the experience yet

Well those comics are made by a mother based on her experiences on MOTHERHOOD. There are comics about fathers too, usually made by fathers on their own experiences. Maybe try searching fatherhood on bp?

It's not sexist because it is not this woman's responsibility to represent fatherhood. She's illustrating HER experiences, like a comic diary. Though I agree, seeing the same motherhood comics over & over is getting pretty damn old. No issue with people making them, but do we really need another BP article on it?

Another commenter here shared a similar concern, to which the person who made these comics replied with, "Hey! I'm the person who made the comics. I totally get what you mean, but just wanted to say my husband and I both work part time and both look after our kids when the other is working. He does just as much work around the house as I do and can definitely relate to the comics himself. I did not chose that title, but if you read my description I did make sure to write 'parents' and not 'mums'"
