I Asked These Mothers If I Could Photograph Them, And Here’s What I Captured (25 Pics)
I chanced upon photography after I became a mother myself and the one thing I always missed was that I had no one to take a picture of me with my daughter. Something special... something that spoke of what we share. That feeling inspired me and so when I took the camera I decided to depict motherhood in its many forms through my work.
Now wherever I travel in the world, I make sure to photograph mothers everywhere. I call it my "motherhood project". The one thing that runs through all of my motherhood shoots is that I don't have to ever pose the mothers. I just ask them to hold their child and it is simply magical what emotions are reflected in every frame.
There is something so truly magical about the love of a mother and her child.

I was thinking how we've seen, in real life or just in photos, little nursing lambs with the mother sheep. But how often have sheep been able to come close enough to observe a human with her baby. They look so curious and I'm certain they know that it's a baby. There's a real rapport between the sheep and mom with her baby. I love this one! Rightly deserves to be most voted

It's so simple, it's lovely, they look like they've gone outside to see the sunrise. Yet also reminds me a bit of Les Mis, Cosette and her mother....

Too much editing for my taste. They kinda just look like cartoons or CGI at that point.

While some of these are quite stunning, the amount of retouching that is done to the faces of the moms and children detracts from their natural beauty.

These are lovely. I ran a portrait studio for 8 years. Took a lot of maternity photos. Love these. They evoke a sense of wonderment.

Although pictures are nice she claims they are not posed, ya, and I am Santa Claus!

I do not like Bored Panda anymore. Way to much subject matter to enjoy. Too much of it is superfluous IMHO!

Maybe she asked mothers from her community and it's 99% white community? Or maybe she created this gallery for only white women and will create another one with only African women (BTW, you do know Africa is big place and there are white people liveing there for centuries too, right?) Or maybe she think only white women are pretty. If that's true - so what? it's just her preference. We are allowed to have preference, you know. I can think only white blond woman are beuatiful and there is nothing wrong with that. You can think that only Asian with black hair are beautiful. No everything is about racism, get off you high horse
