People In This Online Group Know Some Pretty Disturbing Facts About The World And Shared Them For Others To Learn Bacteria antibiotic resistance is on a whole other level. Even In the 13 years I’ve been in a medical microbiology lab; antibiotic resistant has really become rampant. It’s not going to stop either. The bacteria multiply and evolve so quickly that even the most effective “bombacillins” will become obsolete. we are going to reach a breaking point where even things like a simple cut or a sinus infection could become life threatening. Don’t take antibiotics like a Z-pak for a cold. It’s most likely viral and the antibiotics are just superfluous. If you are prescribed antibiotics finish them.

Everybody on the planet needs to understand this. Misuse of antibiotics has created a resistance that we now have several strains of bacteria that will KILL us, and we have no antidote. Never, ever take antibiotics unless they are prescribed. Do not request or demand them if you have a virus, because they only work with bacterial infection, not viral. Listen to your doctors. Always finish the course. Taking them when you don't need them, or stopping too early is what causes resistance in humans, to the point where most antibiotics don't work anymore. It's also allowing bacteria to develop that are resistant to all our antibiotics. This situation has the potential to make Covid look like playtime.

Kinda on the same wavelength, I've always wondered if deaf people have a voice in their head because they obviously can think but won't know how to sound out any words. So is it just constant silence?

I don't know that that is true for all blind people. I have worked with a variety of disabled people. One was a young man who was born blind and he said there was definitely a difference for him when he was completely in the dark, versus turning his face towards the sun. Also, blind is still the legal term used even for people who still have some vision. Depending on your type of blindness, you may still have light receptors within your eye sockets, or rudimentary eye formation that can distinguish certain shadows.

I could be wrong, but it used to be only 7% of people were called (as it was known when I worked with blind people) 'black blind' aka couldn't see anything. Blind people can often see shades but not in sufficient amounts to be considered partially sighted.

As someone who is partially blind since birth I can confirm this- there isn't a black area in my vision, it's just not there. Easiest way to think about it- do you see blackness because you cannot see behind you, or is it just not there?
