Googles' explanation: Vector artwork is art that's made up of vector graphics. These graphics are points, lines, curves and shapes that are based on mathematical formulas. When you scale a vector image file, it isn't low resolution and there's no loss of quality, so it can be sized to however large or small you need it to be. In comparison, raster art (also referred to as bitmaps or raster images) is created using colorized pixels. When you enlarge a raster file with pixel-based art too much, the edges look jagged and the quality is lost. My explanation: I can't paint or draw so I use a computer to make pretty things :)

I took about 15 different photos before I found the right angle and lighting I liked and then spent a lot of time working on the coloring and filters. I never said I painted it myself, but it's still something I enjoyed working on and feel proud of. It makes me smile to look at it. Art is lots of different things and lots of different mediums...a way to create and express and explain your inner world and how you interpret the world around you.

It looks beautiful! And just because you didn't personally "paint" it doesn't mean it's any less your own special work of art. You put in all the planning and made creative decisions (picking the photo out of 15 with diff lighting and angles) with a very specific filter in mind. That's really cool because it's human artistry collaborating with technology. Visionary and efficient, an exciting time in the world for creative people. You go girl!!!!!!

I just hold my hand up in the position/angle that I want to draw it, and then use it as a reference to draw. It's better than a picture, I would say, because if I want to tweak something I can just move my hand instead of taking another picture. For the shading, I mark where the shadows fall, color it in, then blend it out. For the light, I just erase a spot then blend it in. I use watercolor paper because it's thicker and doesn't tear as easily. I still can't draw hands, if I'm drawing a character or something else. This is the only way I can draw hands, and it's very satisfying. You should try too! I honestly never could have thought that I could do something like that without help, but I did! If you practice, like drawing a hand everyday, you would be drawing amazing hands.

It took 3 - 4 hours cause my computer died and I had to charge it, once I close my computer the colors I use get deleted from my computer so i had to restart... my dad's art IS UH-mazing!! I might put on in the comments.
