22 Sassiest Responses To Homophobe Comparing Being Straight During Pride Month To Being A Jew In Nazi Germany
They say that the best way to respond to hate is with love. True, but in these days of anonymous internet trolling there might be an even better option: sarcastic mockery. The latest trend among alt-right types these days is to present themselves as some kind of victim; where is my straight pride parade? Why don’t I get a white history month? What about an international men’s day? Completely missing the point that our entire social structure is skewed heavily in favor of the straight, white male. Do you really need those things to feel accepted and valued, snowflake?

The latest example of this pathetically insecure victimhood came from this Twitter user. Surely we are all being trolled? If so, plenty of people took the bait and the tweet was shared and commented on thousands of times. Eventually, it found its way to Reddit whereafter it was shared on the famous ‘Murdered By Words’ page.
Ironically enough, the very best takedown to this abhorrent tweet was by a Reddit user named GaydolphShitler. Yes, you read that right. Ol’ Gaydolph was having none of it and set to work with the sarcasm-meter set to 11.
The satire-laden response sparked an entire ‘glitzkrieg’ of derision, full to bursting with glorious punnery and homo-nazi wordplay, as well as some more heartfelt and eye-opening reactions. What do you think? Is this a good way to respond to hate/trolling? Scroll down to read the rest of the reactions below, and let us know what you think in the comments!
It always surprises me when straight people get their undies in a twist over something that's got nothing to do with them. Gay Pride month isn't hurting you. I think most are just offended because they think that to tolerate it means they aren't being a good Christian. Well you need to read your Bible better, Honey. Especially concentrate on the part of love thy neighbor, judge ye not lest ye be judged and let he who is without sin cast the first stone. If the only thing you do with the Bible is use it to find fault in others..I think you got more things to worry about in your relationship with God than a bunch of gay people prancing around in rainbow attire and sparkles for a month.
I totally agree. Like, seriously, since when did movements trying to promote the rights of homosexuals, people of race, and women come all the way back to focus on straight, white males.
Probably because many Straight White Males™ want EVERYTHING to cater to them. They can't handle the thought that things like Pride month, Black History month and International Women's day exist. They feel like their rights are being infringed upon if everything doesn't cater specifically to them.
I hoped that things in this world would get better in 2019. Clearly we went backwards.
I agree with the message above, but disagree with saying it's "The White Male" that is the only one to blame. It's not JUST white males who have issues with those movements.
And then comparing to to the Holocaust? That’s another step up on the insensitive dirtbag ladder.
It's so important to speak up, thank you. Pride month is also a time of remembrance and memorial for those who fought for equality and those killed for being gay. Standing side by side while standing up. Cue T-Swifts new song "You need to calm down."
No reason to bring TS into this. She's only jumping on the bandwagon for the $$.
the problem is things like Pride or Black History month etc doesn't focus on white males and they have been told for centuries they are all that matters. their little brains don't understand giving freedom to one group does not take it away from another. we are not working with a finite amount of freedoms/privileges; there is plenty for everyone
Um, YES.

The Christians I know are very accepting of homosexuals and care for them just as they would any other human. The issue they have with the Pride parade is that it is so overly sexualized they have a hard time celebrating it with their families, especially children. Many of my gay friends (Christian or not) agree and want to promote awareness in a more constructive way by becoming good and useful role models in society and not show off their sexuality.
Gay Pride events nowadays, have become a celebration ie a party. Most often, a dance party. All dance parties - from every single era, was always about sexuality, and trying to attract a partner (whether of the same, or opposite sex). Besides, soooo many events / parades are sexualised. Cheerleaders are the most in-your-face blatantly-near-pornographic example. They're at sporting events, and parades of all kinds. So, if watching half-naked women jump up and down, all bouncy and doing crotch-displaying air kicks to celebrate men is ok for a "family" event.... people dancing in rainbow clothes is just as ok. Only difference is: who is being catered to: straight men (with the bouncy female cheerleaders), or not....
I don't really see the problem Pride getting more of a 'dance party'. It's a party too, to see your friends and other people like you. It's a safe space to use your most fierce attire. After all, the straights are strangely obsessed to the queer sex anyway so I personally try to own it every year
Well then, don't go to Pride Month events with your children?

You're absolutely right Pseudo Puppy, the Gay Pride event has become a dance party with schlongs and boobs hanging out everywhere trying to attract a partner. That's NOT what the actual message intended was from the beginning. It was to inform others that people of the LGBT community did not have the same rights as heterosexuals. I'm not personally a fan of cheerleaders outfits but the difference is they are nowhere near as pornographic as the Pride parades I've seen. Yael, I wouldn't, sadly.
What was it like coming out straight? Did your parents disown you? I bet you were told to keep quiet at Christmas.... did your gay friends joke/not joke about just needing to find a woman to have sex with? Pride isn't about being better than everyone else, it is about normalizing a place in society. Getting over the assumptions about who/how a person sleeps with another person... it's almost funny how uncomfortable breaking those assumptions are, and how much some folks lash out at it.
100% agree!!!!! <3

Fucking faggots. Cure might be broom handle up their butts but they would enjoy it
Now i'm thinking of the scene in "Love, Simon" where Simon imagines his friends coming out as straight and thinking it's unfair that only LGBTQ+ people have to come out.
Wait, why keep quiet at Christmas?
Prejudice within the family and the 'shame' of the parents, etc...
They don't specifically just mean Christmas, but for any holiday or family gathering. Because heaven forbid you might upset auntie or uncle who disagree with your "choice." I hope that makes some sort of sense. Many families would rather keep the peace and let one person suffer than expand their own horizons and grow as individuals.
(Serious question)
A similar situation, yesterday I got into an argument with some doofus on Reddit who thinks men are being oppressed just because women actually have a few rights.
The thing I hate is that there are about 10 people on the entire planet who think this backwards, and they end up getting the most attention. Why can’t us sane people who can argue like human beings get a spotlight? Or maybe society could, oh I don’t know, collectively stop being stupid?

I dont fully agree. Heterosexual men are being forced to have less. Less rights, less employment opportunities and basically their standing in most Westerm Society comes after women, children and pets.
Actually, despite the fact that women and LGBTQ+ people are treated as actual human beings now, straight men still have the most rights and opportunities.
Im litterally laughing right now at your stupidity
