When Burger King opened a restaurant near me, a whopping 30 km from another, it was celebrated in the region as if flush toilets had finally been introduced! Omg, I can't agone what fanfare there would be if a Starbucks opened shop nearby! Everyone loves American brands! It's like the series"Happy Dats" - everyone in France knows this tv series and heeyyyyy, it's cool!

No. I'm being real. It's difficult to open an American chain outside the USA, for licensing of the franchise but especially to cut through the red tape through the state and local government in each country. And not every country wants American franchises. While there are a lot of McDonald's restaurants in France, they aren't close to each other on purpose-France isn't that friendly to chain fast food. The 2 McDonald's I know of are 20km apart. The nearest KFC is 35 km from where a live. The only Starbucks near me is in Paris, and that's an hour by train.

eh i’m alright, super nervous about school, i got my schedule finally and i don’t know where any of the rooms are so the first day is bound to be a disaster but at least starting this week i’ll be online more

oh yeah it was garbage. there were maybe five people in my entire school of 850 people that i actually trusted, and probably the only good thing that came out of me being in that district was being in one of the best choir programs in the country

it’s been incredibly busy, first i volunteered at a vacation bible school for a church i don’t go to lol, then i spent a little over a week in california, then i went to camp for a week, and then we went to my brothers college orientation, and then i went to all state choir, and now we’re getting ready to start school

I sat in my super conservative grandparents house for over a week without leaving once and had to listen to them rant about gay people and trans people while using slurs and also just being completely racist. So uhh the usual summer I guess
