"Perdido Street Station" by China mieville.... If you're into dark fantasy, new weird, steampunk, sci fi, politics, gothic fiction.... Give it a go, but don't expect someone to hold your hand.... This is a novel where the main protagonist is a city, New Crobuzon, all other characters are simply players in the epic world building of this novel.....
It is the sprawling love child of Edgar allen Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, Michael Moorcock, Charles Dickens and Karl Marx.... A world of alchemy and science, of authoritarianism and revolution, of magic and brutal truths.... I have read it so many times, it inhabits my dreams..... There are 2 other novels set in the same world, "The Iron Council",a glorious mash up of classic westerns and revolution, and "The Scar", which riffs on nautical fiction, from Moby D**k to the works of Joseph Conrad.... Which re works so much popular culture and fantasy/ horror tropes.... Just mindblowing!!
Please read it!!!! Absolutely fkn awesome!!!

Anxious people is pretty good. I also recommend The Cousins. I mostly read comics nowadays so if u need recommendations for those ask. But I still read normal books I just don’t remember them all. Anxious People and The Cousins are the most recent books I’ve read. I’m gonna start the Scythe series soon tho.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas!!!
A roughly retelling of Cinderella. Basically, what if Cinderella was an assassin.
The series evolves more than that and the character development is extraordinary!!! I can't tell you much about the whole series because of spoilers but I just finished reading it for the fifth time!!!!

The Loneliness of Pi Numbers by Paolo Giordano. Is a fantastic book by a very talented Italian writer. You really can feel the loneliness from the Main character.
