This Vietnamese Hairstylist Creates Intricate Hairstyles That Sometimes Take Up To 2-3 Months To Finish (37 Pics)
Nguyen Phat Tri is a well-known hairdresser from Vietnam, who recently went viral on social media doing her amazing flower-shaped hairstyles. The professional graduated in biotechnology but in the end, decided to follow her heart by doing makeup and hair.
Bored Panda reached out to Nguyen to find out a little bit more.
"I love my country and I want to create hairstyles that represent the country and people of Vietnam.
I am very much a perfectionist in creating a new hairstyle, I need time and a lot of creativity, meticulous research. The journey to complete a hair model from the initial idea to the actual product is not a simple one. I have to sketch the design, calculate the layout, shapes and then find materials, accessories.
So the time it takes me to create each hairstyle will also be different depending on the difficulty level of that job. Sometimes it only takes 3-5 days, but sometimes it takes 2-3 months for a new hair sample to be completed.
In addition, I also pay close attention to the accessories that come with it, which are an important part of making my work stand out more."

h o w. That is insanely beautiful i just cant even comprehend it.
These are all incredibly gorgeous, but I have to wonder: What do they look like next morning when she's slept on it?
Load More Replies...I have purple hair myself and just got it dyed to pretty much this color. I'm guessing that she meant the time is to bleach it to be able to dye it? Sure, can bleach your hair every day for 3-4 days to get it bright enough to apply this type of color (if you have dark hair) but that could cause your hair to fall out/be in very bad condition (I had to cut it all off once when I did that). If you go to a hairdresser who cares about protecting your hair they will bleach it in stages, with some time (often a couple weeks) in between. So that takes a few sessions. Sure, the artistic masterpieces/hairstyles surely takes some time too but I'm guessing that it won't take as long as the bleaching process...
Holy hell!!! I can't get my hair to curl and she gets people hair to do flower? I'm in awe!
The color on this one is great... just enough tone on tone to be exciting while still giving a hint of natural color.
AH MANNEQUINS! I was wondering how they could take months to finish XD
agreed, it's hard to decide which I would want for my wedding which is why I saved this page.
Load More Replies...I love the color gradient. I like the stamens she used on these a lot too.
She reminds me of Anna May Wong, the first Chinese American actress. They are both very beautiful.
Wow a Dahlia! I'm struggling to not say the obvious... Should have been black hair... "Black Dahlia"
Imagine having her in front of you at the movies! You complain or you start eating?
Load More Replies...I would love to see a video of this being styled. It must require tons of patience (and product).
I don't even have any words that would suffice as a compliment for this.
I want the whole look. Basically, I want this to be me lol
Load More Replies...You would definitely need a sunroof to be able to ride to the event in a car.
I love that hair color! I need that! What is it and how can I get it please! ❤️❤️❤️👏😳
Haha! Why bother putting on a hat when one can be shaped onto your head:)
The sphere is probably hollow/has a very light sphere inside. Make same logic as a hair rat with wire involved?
Load More Replies...Man, this is beautiful, but it also looks incredibly uncomfortable. Truely a work of art though
Like a future Miss World winner! But I don't get the physics of this!
Wow. She needs to be cast in a leading role of a 1930s film noir thriller.
This has a very 1940s vibe for me. I imagine her being named Velma, and working as a wartime spy in some glamorous international nightclub.
The sculptural quality of the waves in the front and on the bun... must take forever to get them so smooth.
some of these look like elaborate hats, which would make the whole thing much easier to wear.
Love the different textures. Can you imagine sitting still long enough to have this done to your hair?
This one jumped the shark for me a bit, but it's an interesting art piece.
I love marcelled waves. I wish that style would come back. I always think of Lady Edith in Downton Abbey.
Of course I would like this, what with me having a mohawk 😊
I guess I am too old for this one to strike a chord. Lots of work, but not for me.
Are all of these manikins? I assume so because otherwise if it was models they wouldn't sleep
I can't imagine sitting still for however long it took to sew all that hair in place!
I could not pick just one, I am a licensed cosmetologist and each one of these would win a prize at a hair show, great fantasy work along with excellent creativity 😀
What's a fascinator? I really don't know. Clueless American here. :(
Load More Replies...Most seem to be wigs. They are made from nylon/ plastic
Load More Replies...The secret to some of these, is... glue. No, really. You take hair extensions and place them on plastic wrap. Then you stroke some glue on them and let it set so it becomes this sheet of hair. Then you bend it, shape it, cut it and glue pieces together and stick them in to models real hair.
Really beautiful, but I would hate to have to undo the hairstyle afterwards. The amount of hairspray and teasing... would just be too much damage to the hair.
Awe inspiring. I can't understand how the ones that look sheer are created. Love the flowers. However, mannequins are very unsettling.
