Vehicles are removed from drunk drivers and people that abuse the system just the same as guns are removed from irresponsible owners. But here's the kicker, many people go buy a car off the internet without registering it. Many people steal cars. And many people will borrow cars from every tom, d**k and harry , even though those friends and family are completely aware of the person's driving record. Similarly, people who really really want a gun aren't required to go through legal channels to get one..they can buy a stolen one off the street. Again..taking away the implement of destruction does not solve the problem. Better health coverage..especially mental health is.

You can own a car without training. You are not supported to drive it without training but how many people follow that? Same with guns you do have to have training to get your CPL to use it but not always to buy one.

No. She's pretending that anyone who wants gun control should be required to know as much about all the types of guns as gun fetishists do, or have no say about gun regulation. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say that the "AR" stands for "Assault Rifle." They say the the AR-15 IS an assault rifle.

No. She’s trying to tell you morons that these anti-gun lib-tards are talking out of their a*s when they talk about so-called “gun control.” YOU have NEVER handled a gun, owned a gun, fired a gun, taken a gun safety course, but YOU want to tell ME how to handle MINE? I think not. Another thing: Laws only affect law abiding citizens. Criminals by definition DO NOT obey the law. So gun control will only affect those who do what they’re supposed to do; the ones that have their license, have passed the background checks, are safe with their firearms, have taken the safety courses, and have done what has been asked of them; and you want to put MORE restrictions on THOSE people? Because it won’t stop the actual criminals. Lastly: if we are going to ban guns because they kill people, should we also ban spoons for making people morbidly obese? How about cars for wrecks? Beer for DWIs? No. Let’s put the blame where it truly lies: the human condition—PEOPLE. Fix that, fix ALL violence.

It merely shows that the left is using contrived scare tactics. They don't really know what an assault rifle is, so they make it up. Trust this combat veteran: assault rifles are already illegal.

No the argument is if you dont understand basic nomenclature of firearms and have understanding about their uses and purpose, then you have no business dictating to the rest of us what we should allowed to have.

Assault rifle itself is a made up term

You don't use apostrophe when writing a word in plural. It looks stupid

The federal government of Australia prohibited their import, and lawmakers introduced a generous nationwide gun buyback program, funded with a Medicare tax, to encourage Australians to freely give up their assault-style weapons. Many of them did. Australian independence didn’t end. Tyranny didn’t come. Australians still hunted. Their economy didn’t crash; Invaders never arrived. Violence, in many forms, went down across the country, not up. Somehow, lawmakers on either side of the gun debate managed to get along and legislate. It worked. A good example of how possible it is. It has to be a process but if you never start then the problem will only continue to get worse.

Trust me Sage, I have. I am a teen who attends a public school. I completely support our 2nd amendment rights. The way to stop school shootings is not by taking away firearms from law-abiding citizens.

Also, the second amendment doesn't say anything about not setting reasonable limits.
