Actually, it was Bron who saved Jamie, not Dickon. Dickon went running for the hills so he could empty the p**s out of his boots.

This battle was actually shot in Spain, near the city where I'm from. And the water is not the sea, just a tiny lake. Check out "Los Barruecos".

The water is actually the River Black water. Where just like the Canyons we see in the horizon the river drops off very deep that the bottom can't be seen "black water"

Something fun about Martin, is that people keep focusing on his obsession of killing the characters we like (and sometimes hopefully ond twistedly to characters we love to hate). But he also have the ability to make us like characters that we hated (The Hound, Jaime... on some occasion Theon)

Still got NO idea what Jamie thought his play was. It hasnt been that long (maybe 200 years or so) since dragons were last used on ther battlefield. And he's just seen a bigass spear fired at ballistic velocity hurt, but not seriously wound, the dragon. Even if its too distracted to fireball his a*s or just chomp on him, does he think a horse is going to provide enough speed to punch a spear through about half a mile of pissed off dragon and hit a vital area? I think the dude's just suicidal after that whole thing at highgarden

He didn't "meet them", they were there already and the horde appeared out of nowhere. There was nothing else to be done except try and save as many men as possible, and the only way to do that would have to be fighting and defending themselves. The horde would not stop chasing them so retreating was not an option.

The reason this is so difficult for everyone is bc it was a minor detail in season ONE that was 12 million years ago in a show that was unbelievably complicated. Also, if you read the books it would have been clear right off the bat.

My bf made me watch it with him again cause he was so tense he didnt get some of the scenes.at the end he was yelling at the screen .i only got annoyed cause 2 out of 3 battles the dragon takes a hit.
