Paranomasia (not to be confused with paranormal-ia), or for shorter a pun, is a form of wordplay that exercises multiple meanings of a term, or of similar-sounding words. It is usually being used for intended humorous or rhetorical outcome.
Funny puns are a popular topic for illustrators because they offer diverse themes to draw and because they're delightful and cute jokes. Monika, the US-based artist behind the Tumblr “Pundemonium,” is the latest artist to succumb to their charm by drawing tons of cute puns that her followers love. Animal puns seem to be her forte, so there's one for every animal lover.
Monika's not the only one who's great at illustrating puns. Sophie Corrigan, Nabhan Abdullatif, and Lim Heng Swee are a few other artists featured by Bored Panda whose best puns have delighted the Internet. Though pun examples are usually associated with stiff dad anecdotes, we are sure these funny pun jokes will crack you right up.
