Meh, not a big fan of lying to get your kids to do things. Don't get me wrong, a certain about of manipulation may be required, but that's a strait lie will come back to haunt you.

If her mother wonders from where her daughter picked up bullying, she has only to look in a mirror. Go ahead and sell her phone, but public shaming is just as bad as the daughter's bullying - even worse, because parents should know better.

This is stupid. Never deprive your kids of a safe home. Locking them out only teaches them that you're a s****y parent who they cannot depend on. Posting a photo publicly only proves that point.

Yes, it is sad that teens post this kind of thing, and that is what social media is encouraging, but if you look at what part of her face is showing, she looks so sad. Parents, your kids will make mistakes, and some of them will be worse then others but DO NOT shame them on the internet or in front of people, it will make them hate you and go against your wishes just to spite you.
