People are always going on about how cunning and clever cats are. Sometimes we forget that they, like us, are more than capable of being a bit of a goofball from time to time, and when it does happen, their dramatic personalities make it all the funnier!
We here at Bored Panda have put together a list of cats who temporarily forgot how to cat. When they stopped being the sleek, graceful hunters that they usually are, and ended up looking hilariously stupid. Don't worry though, all these cats are just fine, and suffered nothing more than a bruised ego. It probably even did them a little good!

It looks like this kitty has some motor problems. We had a cat like that many years ago. Whenever she tried to focus on something, for example eating, her whole body would start to wobble and shake and she'd fall over. It was heartbreaking, but after a couple tries she would manage to calm down enough to eat. She lived a full six years when the vets had given her three months.

ROFL....Now that looks like something my orange cat Dopey Jake would have done when he was alive. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with cancer and I had to have him put to sleep a few years ago, but he was never the sharpest knife in the drawer.

When I was 5 years old I was in hospital for an operation. There was a kid in the bed opposite, slated for surgery to remove a brooch he's swallowed. I shared some Twisties with him when all the adults were away and because he was supposed to be fasting they had to postpone the procedure for a day. He pooped out the brooch that night...

My cat got mauled by a large dog belonging to our neighbors (she jumped into his fenced in yard--she's not the brightest crayon in the box). Anyhoo, it separated all of the tendons and ligaments from her back leg surrounding her knee, and vet insisted on surgery. As I could not afford $1500 For surgery (because my kids are greedy and insist on eating more than once a day), we kept her confined to a kennel and then one bedroom for one month. Six months later she's perfectly fine and can jump anywhere she pleases (but hopefully not in the neighbor dog's backyard again.

My cousin's Doberman, who had a habit of eating PANTYHOSE, which finally led to them knotting up and stretching out through her intestines. After the surgery, the dog's taste ran to chewing holes in blue jeans.

Oh my gosh, my Freya kitty used to sit between the refrigerator and the wall, facing the wall just like this. Then, after a bit, she would fly out, skid across the kitchen floor, race through the living room, into my bedroom, under the bed, back across the top of the bed, fly back into the kitchen, and resume her sitting in the corner position. Did it all of her 17 years of life. God, I miss that crazy cat.

My friend has 2 cats and they always sleep in weird places. One time we found that one of the cats was sleeping in a cat carrier so we both were really surprised and wanted to take a photo of it. But sadly that cat woke up and left the cat carrier before we got a camera ready. Both of those cats hated the cat carrier so it was surprising to see a cat go there voluntarily and sleep there. :D

Meh, when you start them out young, it's not that hard. We had an allergic family member and a cat, the cat stayed out of that person's bedroom (it was a no pet zone, and the dog laid on the outside of the door to keep the cat out). We didn't know of the allergies when we got the cat, so we managed with baths and allergy wipes (used on both animals, they helped a LOT.

If the water bowl is too close to the food bowl then the cat will not drink from it because instincts tell them not to. I moved the cats water bowl after years next to the food bowl, and now she drinks water all the time.

My cat Pirate would always do this! We'd make fun of him by popping the little houses back into shape and he'd actually get angry at us and rush over all flustered to squash them! LOL Sometimes, another one of our cats managed to get into the house in those fleeting moments when it was still upright, and Pirate would trample it anyways. No mercy.

Actually i'd say that's pretty smart unless there is a cabinet or table near one of the other not visible sides of the windows. They want to see out. The sills are to narrow to sit on or stand on well, so cat uses 2 windows near each other.

My stupid cat does the same thing with the curtains :) I purposefully walk by whenever I see "the Tail" so she can stalk and "attack" me. I want her to feel good about her cat skills lol

Both our cats do this. We took them to the vet because we also heard it meant something was wrong. Apparently, it can be a sign of a problem. In our case, fortunately and although we were about $800 poorer after many tests, our cats just like to stare at the wall. They're fine. Just not very bright.

My cat has chewed on 6 usb cords so far. And 2 cactus, six boxes, my dogs legs, 3 screens to keep flies out of my home, 3 orchids, 2 lightstring for my christmastree, case for my reading glasses, and all the other suff I forgot to mention. He will become 1 year old in july.

One of my cats (now passed) once chewed through at least 10 pairs of Sony noise cancelling ear buds when they first came out like 15 years ago. Chomped right through every single pair I bought. She then moved on to my Nike ACG water proof sneakers. They had this cover over the laces you could zip up making them water proof. She shredded the material making them completely susceptible to the smallest splash. Bless her, I miss my little Lulu Bean.

Those things are actually very dangerous to cats--they chew and often swallow them and end up with digestive blockages that will cost you a fortune to pay to fix. Please take them away from him.

Always put your hairbands, elastic bands, ribbons, etc, away where your pets can't get at them! If they eat them, it is entirely possible that they will either need a very expensive vet visit, or will die. Yes, your cat may have never eaten one before... but why take the risk?

I had a cat who ate ALL my houseplants (she was a rescue) so I had one of these types of cactus left and I put it up on top of the fridge so it would be out of sight out of mind. Didn't work tho. I came into the kitchen one day and found her happily chewing it all the way down to a nubbin. Sharp needles and all. (she was fine)

I'm so sorry...I honestly can't get past the mold and all of whatever that is. I zoomed in to get a better look at the stuff growing on the walls and noticed it's not tile...it's wood. Why would you not tile it? I mean that's some serious mold...it might even be black mold and that can make a person really sick. OMG....PLEASE buy some bleach. It's honestly not expensive at all.

It sure looks like a Bengal. When full grown they can leap from roof top to roof top. Something like 15 to 20 feet. Saw it myself and still had plenty of room. Love the wading pool, bath time was at her discretion. Cleaning the pool was my job.
