Game of Thrones is nearing its conclusion, and for some, it can't come soon enough. What will the world be like without it? There has never been a TV show that has enraptured the entire planet in such a way; the cultural scientists of the future will have an absolute field day analyzing its impact.
It's fair to say that this season has divided opinion so far, and episode 5 was no exception. It was a brutal massacre of Game of Thrones characters that are guaranteed to have upset plenty of fans, who watched the whole thing from the view of a civilian on the sidelines. We here at Bored Panda have once again collected our favorite Game of Thrones memes from the episode, so scroll down below for the second-to-last time ever, to check the best memes out for yourself!

They may not be dead yet, but I bet they're not as tall as they used to be!
I’m waiting for this all just to be Jon’s dream and wake up at the wall after his first night. Or one big west world simulation. Jons like oh look at the splendor
Bored Panda spoke to Christian, who runs the popular Game of Thrones fansite Game of Thrones Fans. He understands some of the criticism that this final season of the show has attracted, but it can't dampen his enthusiasm for each and every episode of the HBO series.
"Well first of all, as you probably saw, the Game of Thrones plot is just getting worse by the episode and its not because of the effects, its because writers have been writing poorly since 3rd episode," he told us.
"First, it started with killing Night King so easily and giving fans something they wanted for so long, but without any kind of satisfaction or twist in the episode."
I always wanted Arya to kill Jaime and wear his face and trick Cersei and stab her in the heart.
Yesss I totally thought this was a possibility
Load More Replies...Somewhere in there you must have "Ant-Man jumps up her butt and expands to full size."
Am I the only one to think that those who we saw die....might not be so? I'm thinking of Cercei and Jamie in particular....well, maybe not Jamie ...but Cercei.....I got a feeling that b***h ain't dead...Karma is a GOT fan and that's not how she wants Cercei to go down!😉
I would have been more satisfied with Grey Worm killing her than what took place.
LOL, All I can see is Tormund running faster than Gendry down south to hit on Brenne.
Let's hope that happens in the last episode and they have lots of giant ginger babies:)
Load More Replies...it was so sad for Brienne to choose Lannister prick to pop her cherry over Tormunt. I guess they wanted to say "women make stupid choices about love even they are big, tough and manly"
If Brianne has any feelings for Tormund, that would be a lovely end for the two of them. Though I don't think she will be over Jamie by the last episode..
"Just like in third episode, they did same with Dany in this one," Christian continued. "The story after they started the attack just went straight ahead to destruction, and if it wasn't for couple of small scenes to save the day, it would have been a total disaster."
"Thank God for some small scenes like the death of Varys Cleganebowl, and the fight between Jaime and Euron."
"Fair enough, they made Dany as the 'mad queen,' but why not show some emotion or reaction while she was on Drogon destroying the city? Or at least give some background story to it"
I love this one 😂🤣🤣🤣. My neighbours must think I've gone bunkers laughing out loud considering I live alone.
This is the first time the last meme is the one to make me laugh the most.
No. Donald Trump is exactly the same a*****e he promised to be through the entire campaign. People who voted for him then acted surprised when he turned out to be an incompetent bigot are just as stupid as he is. Kind of like all the Khaleesi fans who missed the part where she slaughtered, crucified and burned thousands of people on her quest to destroy the people of King's Landing, and then cry "out of character" when she does exactly what she's been promising to do throughout the entire show.
Load More Replies...Looking ahead to the final ever episode, Christian admits he has no idea what to expect from this popular TV show. "This season is something that no one expected, so I guess more crazy and unexpected stuff is coming up! Maybe Arya will kill Dany since she saw first hand what she did in King's landing."
Christian went on to explain that a theory from the Facebook page A song of Ice and Fire has piqued his interest, and could hold some clues for the last episode. "All the green explosions you see while Daenerys flies above King's Landing setting the city on fire are the caches of Wildfire that Aerys II had his Pyromancers stockpile all around the city," he explained.
"Cercei and Tyrion didn't find them to use against Stannis' fleet back in the second season just before episode nine, Blackwater. As a friend pointed out, in a way it was Aery's wrath taking his revenge on the city through her daughter."
Interesting indeed! For more theories, GoT memes and general fan chat check out Christian's Facebook and Instagram fan pages, and we'll see you next week for the big finale!
This is literally a brother sister relationship brother says somethings the sister mimics it in a stupid voice
I didn't love that he left Ghost without a pet or anything neither. But I do think that it is for a reason, the reason being that the followers shall see that this has to do with him breaking away a bit from being a Stark bastard and that he is starting to embrace that he is a Targaryan
Load More Replies...That’s what you get for turning her down, should have taken one for the team 😆
Ghost follows Jon. During a crucial, critical moment, Jon is vulnerable and Boom! Ghost comes in and rescues Jon. Then Ghost pees on Jon’s leg and disappears into the mist
Should’ve had the balls to take the rightful throne instead of being bullied by his aunt...
my parents never fought, but i did that when mom used to lecture sister ::D
no one thought that after killing the Night King, Arya might have inherited one or more of his powers? like she seems to be immune to fire...maybe she can also bring back the dead?
During WW2, my hometown (Le Havre, France) has been bombed by the RAF. It's been destroyed at 82%, mostly downtown when the germans positions were... uptown. The man who decided this, was not mad, just wanted to end it quickly (he lost too many days in Caen). He even refused the evacuation of the civilians. This stage is sadly not so unrealisctic ;)
My home town was bombed by accident by the US. They thought the town was German while in fact it was in The Netherlands. :') Many people died and many very old buildings were completely destroyed. (That DOES mean they were willing to bomb a town full of innocent people though, whether German OR Dutch...)
Load More Replies...nope. cersei doesn't give a rat's a*s about anyone who's not noble
Load More Replies...This is the best expression this actress ever got in 8 years. Finally.
I’m going to miss Sandor Clegane. His death hit me really hard.
Aaaw Sandor 💔 I liked him so much. One really understood that he cared so incredibly much about Arya
Oh Hound!! You were my kind of dude! I love how he went down...like a closet badass!!
Thank you for giving us the Clegane Bowl that we've always wanted.
did anyone else started thinking: What color eyes does Daenerys have again??
In the Book she has violet eyes. In the show she has green
Load More Replies...Yeah she did 😉 Maybe it's about all the times when she didn't specify? Anyhow I'm on your side, since she actually did specify at least once
Load More Replies...I hate the "colored eyes" theroy because she was supposed to have Violet or lavender eyes, but the contacts were so uncomfortable and it would've cost too much to digitally color her eyes. So they just threw them out 🙄🙄
I predict Daenerys will try to burn Jon snow with the dragon, but he's fire proof too. Then Arya kills Daenerys. The 3 eyed raven goes, and bran becomes himself, and he can walk.
He is not fireproof he got burned in first season when he grabbed lantern to burn Wright
Load More Replies...Why do people keep saying this? She SAID I'm gong to kill Queen Cersei!
Conversely, the seemingly bored and “weary-of-the-show-already” writers & producers decided to copy The Simpson’s bc they were fresh out of ideas. #likely
It doesn’t matter. Producers and writers likely took this Simpson’s episode and copied it into GoT bc they were lazy. #starbuckscup #jamieshand
Load More Replies...i stopped watching The Simpsons like 15 years ago, i have missed all these predictions.
Ashley Wright 1 minute ago They’re not predictions. Think about it. Producers and writers likely took this Simpson’s episode and copied it into GoT bc they were lazy. #starbuckscup #jamieshand
Load More Replies...Who names their child after a show character, come on people.
khaleesi is a title, not a character. However some people have also named their daughter Danaerys lol
Awww I miss her, she was my favorite.... next to Dany..... nope she's my favorite now.
But they had the Author to guide them!! Which is even worse that it's so rushed and f***ed up.
GRRM said that the end of the books "wont be that different" from the show: “I don’t think Dan and Dave’s ending is going to be that different from my ending because of the conversations we did have, but they may be on certain secondary characters, there may be differences. And yeah, some of the people will have that. There will be a debate, I’m sure. I think a lot of people who say, ‘Oh, Dan and Dave’s ending is better than the one George gave us, it’s a good thing they changed it.’ And there will be a lot of people who say, ‘No, Dan and Dave got it wrong, George’s ending is better,’ and they will all fight on the internet. There will be debate, and that’s fine. The worst thing for any work of art, be it movie or art, is to be ignored.”
Load More Replies...GRRM's ending maybe be the same as D & D 's in a vague and general sense because he did give them some story points but either way where D & D went wrong is deciding to rush the ending and not give it its due. What they've done is unfair to GRRM who trusted them with his characters and it's unfair to all us fans who committed to going on the journey with them. It's clear this last season truly needed to be at least two seasons to work. Dany going mad in one episode is silly, we should have seen it happen gradually. D & D don't honor their commitments. In any other industry they'd have trouble finding work, as they should.
We knew this was gonna happen. No way to deal with such a plot and finish it in 6 episodes. They stopped for 2 years to sell products of GOT, not to make a wonder. Typical.
if you look at the bottom left pic. the green flames were planted all over the city. Cersis was going to burn the whole thing down anyways.
Not true. The mad king had wildfire stashed all over the city-that’s what went off
Load More Replies...The comments about the green smoke are so annoying. We already have that story. We all know. The mad king planted them from when Cersi blew up the Sept of Balor. They were all over the city bc he was going to burn everything rather than lose to Rob Baratheon. Cersi only used the ones in the Sept to beat her case. Theyve been there the entire show
"everyone in king's landing is a traitor!" - there, all better now.
Load More Replies...They were given false news. Also, the innocent dragon-burnt small children we're not even born yet during Ned's beheading.
The also spit on Cersei when she had her walk of atonement. Masses=sheep.
Sansa: I know Psychopaths, and Danny is one. Best thing for it is to feed them to their favorite pet.
Honestly you'd think they'd listen to Sansa when she was right the last couple of times!?
This is the greatest comment I have ever read anywhere on any medium ever in my life
The writing is superb. You're just butthurt they didn't go the cheesy obvious way you wanted it to go.
Load More Replies...I love this one!! Sick of fan theories! & loved how she switched, seriously her Borderline Personality came out! Lol
Kinda bummed how little airtime he's gotten this season. All of what, a minute and a half?
He has LONG been out of the books... This was just HBO being HBO...
Load More Replies...I think Bron ends up on the Iron Throne in the end. He gets the biggest reward in the end
His main problem was being in the same room with Lena Headey, so should be good to go for the finale.
Pretty much, sad to see the writers butcher a show in the last couple of episodes
Actually it's a perfect ending to Jaime's arc. He's discovered humility through his suffering, become an honourable man, but tragically an honourable man who cannot live with his past. So there's nothing left for him to do but be there for the sister he cannot save either. Poetic as f**k. Just because it's not a happy ending doesn't make it a bad ending.
I’m so f*****g sick and tired of people thinking his choice to go back to Cersei was abandoning his character development. Him going back to his sister is PERFECTLY in line with his character development. You can’t look at this last season. Look at all 8 seasons and the decisions he’s made. It make absolutely perfect sense that he’s go back.
Oh wait, you mean the 7 seasons of him where he leaves his sister when she does something crazy and then still goes back to her again and again? If they left him with Brianne and he just left everything behind with his sister THAT would be abandoning 7 seasons of character development. Not the other way around. You just wanted him to change so much that it bothers you to see him go back.
Yeah but he always loved Cersei. Just because he stopped being a total a*****e doesn’t mean he suddenly hated Cersei. This bitching about him really ruffles my potatoes
Perfect meme. Jaime's character thread ended worst than lost. He's getting better He's gonna be good He's become noble I'm evil, bricksquish.
Night King: When the night has come, and land is dark.... Danny: Burn Baby Burn! Disco inferno!!
And she didn't break the wheel, she just kept it rolling.
Load More Replies...I didn't think KL deserved to be burned down. I just felt something epic was about to go down, but I couldn't have possibly imagined it would be that.
She only had to aim for the Red Keep. She chose to slaughter innocent people instead for no reason other than 'Boo hoo, my bff and dragon are dead!' Well, that was her own stupid fault for not sending scouts ahead at Dragonstone! You know, like a good leader would do, when they are entering enemy territory!
People wait for the end of many series to write fanfiction, why can't they wait before getting tattoos? :D
Or you cane start burning people alive, because a mass killer and bring back the meaning for you tattoo :D :D :D
You must be the kind of person who stands up for politicians.
Load More Replies...This misses th point of people’s objections. Nobody missed her ruthlessness and violence in previous episodes or her trajectory. However the instant flip from someone someone who would slaughter those she believed had wronged her, or willingness to accept “collateral damage” to deliberate slaughter of civilians was nonsense. The early seasons were so much better because they followed GRRMs timing and the way his characters drove the plot. Once the source material became an outline they rammed through illogical character trajectories and the plot drove the characters.
I completely agree, it would have been entirely in her character to burn down the red keep but not all of kings landing. She repeatedly said she didn't want to rule over ashes!
Load More Replies...Um, yeah, maybe it has something to do with the fact that her previous victims were a******s and not innocent civilians.
By that standard, suddenly butchering entire cities with NO reason is also "in character" for Ned Stark (beheaded a frightened boy for running from his post after seeing the White Walkers - and told eight-year-old Bran to watch every second of it), Tyrion (choked his ex to death in his father's bed, then proceeded to murder his old man on the privy), Jon Snow (hanged a boy who had been manipulated into betraying him), Tywin Lannister (had babies' heads pulped like melons by the mountain to make sure there were no heirs to the throne), and virtually every other character you can think of. The problem is not *that* Dany was violent and brutal, but *how*. The conflict with Jon Snow and the others would have been exactly the same if she'd flown to the Red Keep and turned it into Harrenhal 2.0 to kill Cersei. There would have been a discernible motivation ("I will NOT allow Missandei's killers to go on trial, so f**k this surrender"), and dead civilians (the castle was filled with refugees)
This is stupid. Every single one of those points was about people who were objectively evil to her (her brother... threatened to cut her baby from her belly ffs!), the people she crucified were slave masters who also crucified slaves, and the people she burned alive were either her enemies or people who betrayed her. None of those people were innocent... killing children out of nothing was definitely rushed and, yes, out of character
They forgot to mention, Thor all those people murdered by her werent innocent people.but on season 8 she killed innocent ones!
I loved that she "became" her father. Remember people...this is GoTs ya gotta expect the unexpected!!!
"She's just like her father". Oh yeah? Let's ignore for a moment that Dany's brutality has always been tempered by her desire for justice and her capacity for kindness, and look at Aerys II for a sec: The "Mad King" had been a sadistic paranoiac for YEARS before plotting to torch King's Landing. That plan was prompted by the prospect of certain defeat, a desire to leave his enemies nothing but ashes. Now, contrast this with the idiocy of Ep 5: victory is at hand, everyone's at your mercy - and you randomly start torching civilians while your enemy has a chance to escape through the cellars.
She had clear justifications for everything she did before, that wasn't madness it was playing the game.
THE BEST season! Stop whining. This is really realistick! I would be very dissapointed if it would be less cruel :D
You all need to stop whining about this last season. Get over yourselves.
GoT writers’ & producers’ boredom and weariness of the show came through loud and clear to viewers in the last season. #StarbucksCup #JamiesHand
and these guys are official hired making the next three star wars films? hold my beer
Did anyone noticed the cute little stars on Euron's shirt?
The writers made everyone this season into idiots
Load More Replies...I was just hoping she WOULD break character and not destroy everything
Give Daenerys a break. Her mother and father were sister and brother. You had to know there was some crazy up in there.
Season 8 episode 2 was the best episode in the entire series to me. It has now gone downhill from there. Not even a nice slope of a hill more like a vertical drop of doom.
Why click on it and scroll to the end? If there is a post I am not interested in, I simply do not click on it. Many people love these.
