Probably most of us love our pets absolutely unconditionally, whatever they are - cats, dogs or... Fish? You read it right! While both cats and dogs get loads of attention all over the internet, fish owners decided they are no lesser than the latter. Having that in mind, someone thought what could better get the attention of people all over the Internet if not some good old shaming posts. Remember? We here on Bored Panda had a good share of laughs, going through these cat and dog shaming posts, so let's give it a go with these terribly naughty fish as well. Scroll down to see all the little criminals!

First off- shame on you for putting it in this hellish non-filtered, cold bowl. Bettas are jumpers- do some research before getting anything live!

Dang. Your tank looks like you could use some fin room. Wait til she's closer to the water and then bite her.

Jia Kia

I don't see a filter and the tank is far too small for a betta.

Wendy James

Bigger tank, and it won't jump. The bowl he is in is horrible.

Alissa Merstrand

Because he lives in a tiny bowl with no stimulation, bad water quality and by the looks of him is fed the inccorect food.

Leslie Burleson

I was told that betas feel more secure in small bowls. Why y'all hating so much? A friendly suggestion would work better

Alissa Merstrand

They do indeed NOT feel more secure in small bowls, no fish does. Bettas need atLEAST 5 gallons of room, no plastic plants due to the fragility of a bettas fins, they must be fed live or frozen thawed bloodworms or brine shrimp and be fed with specific betta pellets to be properly fed. With this youll have a fish that will be able to live for up to 5 years, without this youre lucky if they survive a week.

It's really not nice to bite the hand that feeds you! It could be your last meal.

Alissa Merstrand

Probably will be if he continues to live in this dinky bowl. Couldnt even get him a real plant so he can sleep comfortably.

I was letting mom know in my own fish language way that I REALLY NEED & WANT a bigger home! Good golly. Try & live in a bowl that keeps getting smaller & smaller because I'm gonna keep getting bigger. Also I bit mom because I'm frustrated that she hasn't got me another home yet!!!

Try to replace that plastic plant with a silk one. The plastic rips their fins. I bought an entire silk arrangement at a thrift store for a buck. Make sure you wash it first.

Betas jump out of their tanks a lot. If you find yours has done that, put it back in the water, even if it looks like a brightly colored potato chip. They often revive.

Alissa Merstrand

If your betta continues to jump out of the water, then the water quality is bad and your betta is trying to escape a toxic environment. No fish will try to escape an environment that fits their needs.

I put my earbuds around my betta's tank. He'd always want to touch my finger when I fed him. Cool little guy.

In the wild, beta fish live their whole lives in a small pool of water. The ideal beta tank us small, but it should have the proper water temperature, foliage, enrichment decor etc.

What's with this lie about them living in small pools of water being so common? Ideally in the wild, bettas live in places like rice paddies and slow-moving rivers, which are shallow, but provide a lot of room overall. Like Cassie said, they CAN live in small pools, but they try to get to larger bodies of water when they can make it!
