I Am The Cartoonist Behind The Webcomic Rustled Jimmies, And Here Are Some Of My Best Works So Far
My name is Sam Pratt and I am the cartoonist behind the webcomic Rustled Jimmies, a webcomic featuring plump lil dudes with cute butts.
Rustled Jimmies started out as a one-off crudely drawn comic about polar bears, and I had no intent on turning it into a series. I posted it on Reddit, and it only got a couple hundred upvotes, but at that time I thought it was huge. After that comic, I decided to make one more to see where things went.
I posted it on Reddit and it received 15.2k upvotes and 332k views. I was really taken back by this because most of the stuff I posted only ever received 300 upvotes max. Seeing the results from this comic inspired me to continue with it, and I decided to name the series Rustled Jimmies.
Now after four months since its creation, Rustled Jimmies has over 5,000,000 combined views and has been seen all over the internet. Also, it’s not my fault that all of my characters are shirtless.
Some people think it’s gross (they’re probably right), but I’ve tried to draw shirts on them and it’s really hard. Mainly because their shoulders are too close to their face, and it ends up not fitting right. However, do I need to draw graphic love handles on them? No. I just like to. Sorry, not sorry.
