The community has over 3.9 million members, constantly proving that good paintings are timeless. For example, they take a portrait from the 1500s, slap a modern caption on it, and voilà—it works. The expression of the subject, the situation he's in... It's all relevant, no matter what year or how we look at the artwork.
"In historic art pieces depicting multiple humans, there is a law that at least one of those humans will look like they have no clue how or why they got there," the moderators of the subreddit write. "It's like Where's Waldo? except instead of looking for Waldo, you're looking for the dude that looks like he just dropped acid."
