If I had to name one funny-looking car on the spot, the first thing that would pop into my mind is the Fiat Multipla. Having gained somewhat of a cult status, these whimsical six-seaters have been dividing people since their launch in 1998. After the Multiplas were discontinued in 2010, their legend still continues to this day.
But it turns out, they are not the only funny cars that would raise a brow or two. Humans have been notorious for putting their automobiles on a whole new level of hilarity, for one reason or the other, or sometimes purely out of an urge to experiment.

I think this is a bit dangerous. I’ve only seen one like this on the road. But it was full sun in FL and it was discombobulating to look at. Granted, it was just one encounter so.

Kinda unrelated but just because someone has bad/missing teeth doesn't mean they're f*****g meth heads. Its awful enough having to go out and speak to people when you have bad teeth, its humiliating and you have about zero% self confidence without also worrying about people thinking you're a meth head.

This picture reminds me of when I lived in a town of 5,000, where one of the quirks was the local language. They used to say in French "Souffles tes lumieres", loosely translated to "blow your lights". It came from breathing over the candles on the mode of transportation so you didn't waste your candles - I'm not too sure if they were cars or not but apparently it's feasible.

It is probably designed/made for van life. Either they have an extra sleeping space on the top, or they added the extension so one can stand up inside the car (it is hard to tell from the photo which it is.) I can totally imagine myself boondocking in this car somewhere in a desert, watching the world around me as I slowly drift to sleep...

It actually is legal in many places. Each state has their own individual laws, however. In my state, for example, if you vehicle does not have a front windshield, you are required to wear safety goggles. The no-roof thing is even less bothersome because it’s essentially the same as a convertible. Edit to add: the no-doors thing is not a problem either. Many Jeeps come with removable doors just for fun and are completely legal to drive.

Years ago, we had something similar to this at our local zoo. It acted as a shuttle to take people from the parking area (which was really far until they renovated about 5 years ago) to the zoo entrance. I think I was still in middle school at the time, but I always thought it was kinda neat to ride on. 😊

They do that to test new models on the road and avoid pictures leaking before it's officially revealed. The pattern is supposed to mask the true form of the vehicle or any of its details (like the shape of the lights).

Now I can't be 100% but I believe this is a type of wrap meant to obscure a cars features during test driving, possibly a preproduction model running some road tests.

thought you guys could appreciate this… my sister in law has a vw bus that she painted with chalk paint. she has chalk markers tied to it, so when it’s in a parking lot people are welcome to draw on it

Well, first people take time for their hobbies. Second, maybe they were custom made by their garagist. I've heard of people taking 5-10 years to revamp a Corvette or something similar. Instead of playing games or watching TV, they work on the car.
