Two years ago, confectioner Lauren Ko started making intricate and artistic desserts. Do you remember that Bored Panda post from last year? Well, as it turns out, she started to bake even more and her amazing work got even better!
Her speciality is pies with geometric patterns, straight lines and contrasting colors. She uses various flavors, colors and textures that we would never imagine to find in pies. Her work is a true art and often lead people to believe that she has professional training in art, design and cooking. The truth is that she never had a professional training, she just always loved art.
Lauren was born in San Diego, California, but recently moved to Washington, where she opened her own confectionery - Lolo Kitchen.
Her Instagram account has a lot of followers who are eager to try her amazing pies. So do not waste your time and scroll the page, your eyes will thank you!

How is it having way too much time on her hands when this is clearly what she does for a living? Talk about jealousy.
Load More Replies...This looks so incredible! Almost more like art then food. I'd be a bit scared to eat it and ruin the beauty!
Technically edible. Dried flowers won't poison you or anything. They are actually becoming a thing in sweets desecration but I'm a bit on the edge about it myself, I mean it is just dried grass kinda...not disgusting but not exactly tasty either. I feel like there're equally and more cool looking brains of decorations to be made from actually tasty stuff.
Load More Replies...I love this one! It reminds me of a fancy basket. Purple is my favorite!
Fairly easy actually, cut a lot of this steps from dough and put them on your pie one, next one slightly overlapping with previous one, all positioned at the angle at which they leave the centre blank. You kinda see the direction she went if you look closely.

Funny, for me it is exactly the other way around. DESTROY!!!
Load More Replies...Imagine a coin cut in half, standing on its flat edge. Now stand up a bunch more right beside it.
Load More Replies...That's a LOT of fruit. It's fiddly and it take practice, but it's doable.
Load More Replies...green apple, granny smith apple, pear, Fuji apple and Washington apple.
Chocolate yum! This one looks the tastiest so far and the cutting is so clean and pretty!
All are beautiful but I'm sure I would do unsavory things for chocolate. Ggnhnnhhnhg
I would rather frame this than eat it! It's amazing! I love the gradient!
Meanwhile I'm mad when I have to microwave a meal for more than 3 minutes.
Finally! An Actually BAKED Pie! I LOVE all of these amazing designs, And I am Aware that a lot of them are Tarts, but all the Raw Dough and Apples are making me think that the end result must not be as appetizing on some.
At her Instagram Lauren Ko says that this decoration is made with watermelon radish. I did not even know that a fruit like that exists. :)
Load More Replies...This is so hard to do. Great talent. And creative! Would love to try each one! Without breaking them lol too beautiful!
Looks like black sesame seeds incorporated into the dough
Load More Replies...The marbling of the filling is so cool, those colors look great together! What a clean line.
After Eight??? Yeah! After Eight slices I'll take a cup of decaf. Delicious.
She cuts out pieces for one crust, and then uses the sheet she cut from as the top crust of another pie -- how ingenious!
I love this! So simple, even I could make it happen. I'd hate to be the jerk who gets that last slice with no candy, tho.
I wish there were labels--some of this fruit I couldn't identify! Would love to know! And I'd love to see the before AND after pics of the same pie.
A lot of the photos seem to be of unbaked pies. It makes sense - the design is easier to see that way.
Load More Replies...These pies are too beautiful to eat! I want to hang them on my wall instead.
Most of these are pics of the unbaked pies--I wish there were more photos of them after being cooked.
