I hope the restaurant owner replied back that they were glad she enjoyed the food and that she didn't need her influencers. Let's think about this rationally (ha). If this were the law, people would either pop out 1 kid that they don't want in order to avoid the tax, or adopt a child that they don't want to avoid the tax. Either way, you'd end up with kids that aren't wanted or loved.

And there are a lot of people who want kids, but don't find an appropriate partner or physically are not able to...

The future is going to look terrible if people like that raise children.

Yeah, our taxes already pay for welfare, AFDC, and food stamps. All you need to do is fill out the forms and prove you really need assistance. Unless you’re just greedy. In addition to batshit crazy demands like this, I bet everyone’s worked with people who have kids and always ask, or guilt trip, management for all kinds of special treatment—-leaving early, demanding the best shifts/days off, or constantly trading shifts, etc—-for no other reason than because they have kids, and fully and openly expecting the childless employees to just do it. Because, apparently, we don’t have private lives, or anything better to do with our own time off. Many also expect us to do their work and ours when they are there so they can spend their time on their cellphones with their kids. And you better expect to see their faces split and them breathe literal fire if you ever tell them no when they ask you to cover or trade with them!

A large part of my taxes are used to pay for schools and other family services. Since I will never use those, then people with kids should give me some of their money to make up for it. No?

Place I used to work at actually refused to give me three raises in a row - raises guaranteed by seniority, performance and profit - the reason was that another employee "had a wife and kids and needs the money more than you do." I had 12 years there. He had two. I quit soon after.

Well, you already pay for public schools, libraries, higher education, city parks, state parks, national parks, public health and safety, roads and highways, etc.......as those of us with children do. And, you get the added bonus of not having their children over for holidays and play-dates!

I'm sure even in US childless people pay more in taxes than the ones with children. We have tax rebates, support systems to families with children - so in that way they get their money back. Obviously, not 80%

i don't want kids, partially because i have genetic health issues that i wouldn't want to pass on, and i have no income, my $794/month SSI check goes into the household pool for bills and food. what a bullshit human being.
