Photos of dogs being carried in backpacks have been melting hearts all over social media. Content creator Bryan Reisberg – previously featured on Bored Panda for traveling through the New York City subway with his corgi Maxine – helped popularize this adorable and practical way of including pets in everyday life.
Bryan is known for sharing heartwarming moments with his dog, and he’s also the creator of Hey Little Chonk, a brand dedicated to helping dogs travel comfortably and safely in backpacks while exploring the world alongside their humans.
Scroll down to see some of the pups venturing through city streets in Bryan’s backpacks, captured in wholesome photos with their owners.

Unlike most of the others, these two seem to be reconsidering their life-choices.
I think carrying a dog in a backpack isn’t good for their joints.
When used correctly, pet backpacks do not harm dogs’ joints. They are specifically designed for this purpose, with proper support and weight distribution, and are often a safe and caring solution for senior dogs or dogs with mobility issues. The most important thing is ensuring comfort, correct positioning, and responsible use.
Load More Replies...I have a female English Bulldog, 55+ of muscle love. Also lots of muscle very little fat. I dare someone to carry her in a backpack. Izzy will break your back. That’s why we use a human stroller
I remember when my younger dog Fenring was a puppy, I bought a K9 Sport Sack so I could tote him around for socialization purposes before he had completed all of his vaccinations (as it was not recommended to let him walk on surfaces where he could be exposed to viruses/etc. from other dogs.) It... did not go well for various reasons, the primary one being that I was VERY out of shape and it was hard to carry 40 lbs of puppy around XD I'd recommend a dog stroller over a backpack carrier for anyone whose pup might have mobility issues/is elderly/a puppy during vaccinations. The stroller is easier on you, and easier on the dog XD
When did this become a thing, I wonder? I kind of like the idea but I don't believe Chicco (7 yo cocker spaniel) would put up with it for very long.
I think, the NYC Subway rule that dogs can't be on the subway unless they are in a bag was partially responsible for this. Heck, that's why the Little Chonk backpack was created, because the owner in question couldn't find a proper backpack to comfortably fit his little dog inside.
