Dogs do some of their own grooming but every once in a while they need a little help. Yoriko Hamachiyo, a dog grooming specialist, has taken it a step further. She has had a dog spa and salon called Yorikokoro for six years and has mastered the craft of transforming cute puppies into perfect fluff balls.
She got into dog haircuts when she took her own pooch to a grooming establishment. “The salon allowed me to work and learn grooming skills,” Hamachiyo told Bored Panda. “I studied during childcare and became a groomer.” Now, Yoriko is perfectly able to offer bathing (a basic bath), grooming (trim), and a luxury spa treatment to other cute dogs herself. She works mainly with small dogs, spending about two hours with a client. “I am praying for a happy life [for both] the owners and the beautiful dogs.”
We’ve collected some before-and-after pictures of Yoriko’s four-legged clients, and it’s hard to believe they show the same dogs. Sometimes, the groomer spices up their photoshoots with a few accessories, too. Bow ties seem to be her favorite! Scroll down to check out the pawesome Japanese style makeovers she gave to the lovely pooches.

Share on FacebookI wanna bring her all the shelter dogs for makeovers so they get adopted.
I'm not sure about all the poofy-fluff....they're cute just clipped and washed:-)
Yeah it’s like she’s making a fashion project out of the them. Just give them a cut that will be the most comfortable and practical for the dog.

I understand what you mean, that the dogs are modified for the entertainment of their owners, but then again, it's unnatural that these dog races exist in the first place. Secondly, I think they look cute and they seem to be happy about their own haircuts, so I don't see a problem there.
Load More Replies...Surprised half the dogs aren't blind. Owners should never let the dogs fur get that long that it covers their eyes. Good work by the groomer though.
I LOVE how round they are!!!!!! My heart melted. It's so adorable. It's like owning a cloud with legs.
I would just cut the fur over the face for the dog to see something, but I think they look worse after these hair cuts... their bodies are totally deformed.
This is very very cute - - - as much as it was just some days ago when we already did see most of that dogs and their haircuts...
I wonder if it is because there were some comments asking for before pix? Just a thought.
Load More Replies...It isn't a stuffed animal, it's a dog. With fur that's grown a certain way for a reason. As for the owners, if you didn't want the dog to look like it naturally looks... look for something else.
Most of these styles are not to my taste, but that is one very talented groomer.
Is it me or is there something very 80s about them.. but with less Elnet!
Too perfect...makes them look weird. Still looks super huggable tho!
When I visited Japan last year, my niece (who lives there) explained that it is popular in Japan to have mixed breeds, because everyone wants their dog to look different and special. And because the living spaces are small, the most popular dogs are small and normally have some poodle in them, because they have that curly hair, that is great for styling. My niece would clip and groom her own dogs, and they always looked quite original.
Why exactly is it necessary to make animals look like humans, puffed up and blinged out? Those dogs may enjoy being groomed but the rest is ridiculous.
Come to mummy , all of you. Poor bubba has lost ear. I like the design, however the dogs would have to sit for a very long time to get that Pom Pom look. Which is and can be quite cruel.# Ilovedogs #Dogmad
Meanwhile my mother got hold of my beautiful Spaniel and turned him into a rat with the assistance of a pair of kitchen scissors...
I have to say, the bathtub scenes are sooooo sad! Their poor little faces! I melt! And then they look so proud of them selves! LOVE!
I knew she was Japanese before I read. Just seeing the pics was enough xD
That guy was wet. You should see your dog without all of the fur, they aren't bodybuilders you know.
