30 Deleted Celebrity Tweets That People Took Screenshots Of, So Now They Will Live On Forever
Social media’s a tough thing to navigate when you’ve got a stellar reputation to protect. And it’s especially hard when you’re a celebrity with everyone’s eyes on you 24/7. On the one hand, you want to be genuine and use Twitter to post whatever you’re feeling at the moment and whatever pops into your mind.
On the other hand, posting without thinking can make you cringe later on down the line and even land you in hot water. And you know what doesn’t work when you’re a star? Deleting tweets. Cuz people take screenshots and then that stuff’s online forever just like Homer Simpson’s stuck working at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant until the end of time.
Have a scroll through some of the most infamous and iconic deleted celeb tweets that Bored Panda collected and upvote that ones that left the biggest impression on you. And read on for Bored Panda's interview with Hollywood and celebrity expert Mike Sington who told us all about the behind-the-scenes details how stars manage their social media and what they should never ever do. In the mood for some more embarrassing celebrity social media fails? Check out our earlier post right here.

"Most major celebrities have a social media manager that manages all of their accounts. This person (at times it’s a team, with a single manager) creates content for the celebrity, and posts on their behalf. Usually the celebrity has to have final approval on the content before it’s posted," Mike explained about how some stars deal with social media.
"In addition, often the celebrity will suggest content to their social media person, who will then craft it for them. At times, however, the contract with the media team allows them to post without final celebrity approval. There are just as many celebrities handling all of their own social media—they write, photograph and post completely on their own.
Mike had some very to-the-point advice for celebrities: don't post anything if you're feeling angry, emotional, or upset.
"Wait one full day, then decide if you want to go ahead with that post. It’s pretty simple advice, but it would keep a lot of stars out of trouble!"
Do you think that it’s an overstatement that stars are always under scrutiny? It turns out to be true. In an earlier interview, Mike explained to Bored Panda that celebrities need to remember that they are always in the public eye. “Even when they think they aren’t,” he stressed.
That means that celebrities have to always, always, always assume they’re ‘on display’ and being watched by their fans. That means behaving in a friendly, well-mannered way. Both online and offline. You’ve always got an audience, even when you think you’re posting for yourself.
“It does take some conscious effort on the celebrity’s part to be nice, just knowing every interaction, and everything they’re doing in public can be recorded. For some celebrities, in fact, I’d say most celebrities, being nice comes naturally. It doesn’t take any special effort, because it’s who they are as a person,” Mike explained.
Maintaining a reputation as someone who’s nice, friendly, approachable, and who adores their fans is vital for stars. Their supporters are their lifeblood, after all. So acting ‘properly’ is always a plus whether it’s in real life or on Twitter. And just like in real life, there are no take backsies on the internet anymore. (To some extent even for us mere mortals.)
“In my experience, the one constant I’ve noticed is the bigger the star, the nicer the celebrity. The established stars have it down and understand the importance of the celebrity/fan relationship. You usually only have a problem with the newer, up-and-coming stars. They at times don’t get it and may think they’re too good to interact with you. This attitude often backfires, and they realize if they want longevity, it’s actually not that hard to be nice.”
Just because you learned nothing there doesn't mean the rest of us won't.
If Everybody's Dad Bought Them A Career We Would Have A Much More Stupid Celebrity
Modern education is one of the worst sins perpetuated by humankind. Teachers know... they try to teach the child while the bureaucrats want to teach a curriculum. Albert Einstein wrote, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” The question I have for you at this point of our journey together is, “What is your genius?”
Well, one of my geniuses is to recognize another s genius M Kate McCulloch. J. G.Whittier wrote; "Knowledge never learned of schools" I always loved that line.

I hate it when someone has to have a capital letter for every word in their sentence.
WILL! Come get your son please. Tell him about what happens in uneducated parts of Philly.
Some of the best minds and most creative people of this and previous ages have smoked the herb of peace. If you want to call someone a bloody asshole by my guest, but don't maligne our good medicine.
Load More Replies...Yes a world full of people who can’t read, write, or do simple math is a world worth living in
Well that's just what we've got with the schools as they are. Schools would be a good thing if they were any good.
Load More Replies...I think his 100 million dollar company Just Water is showing that he is no dummy.
He didn’t do anything but just come up with the idea, his parents flipped the bill for his start up, he doesn’t do anything within the company- he’s just has his name attached to it. It’s not even a new concept… Fuji Water, Pur water, Simple Water, there’s many out there.
Load More Replies...I think he's saying something like; "Knowledge never learned of schools" (-John Greenleaf Whittier, 'Barefoot Boy' ) I agree that the schools failed us and fail the young people far worse now. So much is not taught at all, then they fail at the usual subjects.
Well, apparently "ain't nobody ever been" to English class, either...

I can't believe I made it through the entire post. It felt like my IQ was dropping by a few points with every tweet.

totally. While some are truly embarassing and stupid, some are just funny. Like Hailey's. How would she know she would marry Justin one day. Her Tweet was ironical, but in no way mean or harmful.
Load More Replies...I don’t have Twitter, but is it a thing that you can’t use commas? That’s driving me nuts!
Back then, you could only use like 150 (?) characters, so it saved space/letters
Load More Replies...I feel like that is definitely something to be proud of. 👍
Load More Replies...I will say this, yes this wasn't their best moments in life, but I'm sure everyone has grown from this point forward. But we all know that everyone will use this to prove a point in the future.
Agreed, Jordan Rogers. We all need a bit of optism this year.
Load More Replies...Celebrities can't even spell right... And who cares if one of them sharts?!
A lot of these seem fake. Very easy to fake a screenshot of a tweet.
Ah, they days before celebs got someone else to write and manage their accounts...
