Every craft has its mysteries. And while you can decode them through long hours of research and trial-and-error, you can also learn about them from those who have already mastered the art. Of course, not everyone wants to share their secrets. But Barcelona-based photographer Jordi Puig does.
He has become adept at using various tools to make his shot truly immersive. The best part, however, is that Jordi provides a behind-the-scenes look at his creative process, showing how you can adapt his methods as well.

I am just thinking "Please dont hit the camera with one of those" . Can see how easy a broken lense might happen. If the didnt add protection after pic 1. But lovely pic.
i reckon you should do the same but without the man (no hate just constructive comments)
Of all the shots using this technique, this is the one that makes the most sense to me. It actually provokes feelings.
Just about every other shot is made by hanging something from a string, throwing something (glass shards, stones, sprinkles, water) from the "wrong" direction into the pic, or taking the shot through something (paper sheets, strainer etc). "Creative tricks" ended after about eight pics.
yep, sure they look cool... but it gets old fast.
Load More Replies...It's sad how many people in the comments don't understand the concept of photo staging. Yes, the blade isn't going to actually cut the orange in half, it's staging for a photo.
Nice pics, but what's photographer's obsession with people throwing food at the camera?
STOP WITH HATING THIS! This is art. If you don’t love it then why are you looking at this? Sorry, I couldn’t hold it any longer. I love this photos! It’s never getting old, all photos are different but yeah the idea is the same. I love this way of photographing. Please stop, okay? It’s getting kind of a brawl now.
Its all sugar candy foe the eye, no nutritional value, sure it looks good, but doesnt make sense some of them, and the others doesnt show any beauty of the subject but just the fake beauty, like alot of makeup
Load More Replies...Post-production on most of these graphics are so heavy that they are not photos anymore.
Amazingly well done, the artist is a true professional. That said I'm not sure I always "get" the results. Number 4, throwing milk and cookies seems to have a sense of weirdness for weirdness sake.
Sharing creative photography tips is like telling everyone where the gold is...no more gold! :)
Point of focus is wrong on every single photo, the subject is blury, the props in sharp focus
