And the subreddit which we will call 'Entitled Batch' can prove it — this online community is dedicated to shaming people who think they can always get their own way and are better than everyone else.
The moderators, however, point out in its 'About' section that the sub "in no way intends to spread hate or abuse or to offend any party, it was created for story sharing and entertainment."

- People with a sense of entitlement expect to get preferential treatment and special favors in life, without regard for why they should be treated specially. They assume "the world owes me." For instance, they might feel that the policies of an organization should not apply to them because they should be treated with special favors.
- Regardless of what they have, they strongly believe that they deserve more. They expect to elevate their lifestyle above that of others without putting in the effort needed to do so.

- When they reach a certain level of success, they feel that everyone should bend over backward to help them. - Their personal needs come before everyone else's needs. They believe that it is your job to ensure they have everything they need, even if this means that you have to sacrifice taking care of yourself.

- They are not grateful for what they have in their life. A person with a sense of entitlement may not say thank you or show other signs of appreciation for what they have. This is because they believe it is their right to have everything, so they don't value anything.

- They act like victims and blame other people or outside forces for their problems. Again, someone with this attitude believes the world owes them and that other people are responsible for making their lives better.

Actually, this is a big reason why I want minimum wage raised. You get better service when employees are paid a living wage and don't wake up every day with extreme dread and anxiety. If Walmart cared about their customers, they would pay their employees well enough to provide great service.

Your paid to leave your feeling at the door. If you can't be pleasant or at least courteous for 8 hours a day while working then maybe you should swim out into the ocean until you can't swim anymore because you are a miserable excuse for a human being.

How about you treat them like people and then you get good service? Where does this attitude come from that if you work in a job like fast food or retail that means you are less of human being and don't deserve respect?
As long as you are very polite when you order and say, "Thank you" when you finish ordering.
Since minimum wage is not nearly a living wage, YOU ought to thank THEM. And you ought to thank the taxpayers for subsidizing the mega-corporations with social security for the employees that the corporations refuse to pay a living wage to.

If servers didn't face abuse and carp on a daily basis - they might be happier, and their faces would show it. Stop demanding and show service personell respect. Then you might get smiles.

No, actually, no. Because these are prime examples of how we all are very much the same and just live in our own bubble. And it's good for people that live in very mediocre bubbles to see that other bubbles exist that are a whole lot different (and a lot less prevalent we hope). Just because it is not to your comfort, doesn't mean it can't actually grow your own sense of empathy towards others. And if it's too much. Skip it. But I can assure you there's a reason you didn't. These are wonderful examples to see how "most" people react to situations like these and how people that act like that are the ones to stand out from the masses. I am honestly not sure if there are more entitled people living now. Or is it we are more hyperconnected and can share this surreal existence in real time.
Waiting at the dealership for my car service, sitting reading a magazine. I guess I "thought" people knew that a magazine, open and face-down in the chair means that I've gone to the restroom. I come back, guy's sitting in the chair reading the exact article I had been reading. Yes, there were numerous other seats without open magazines in them. I realize I expect too much.
..more and more BP articles are negative.. what happened to the uplifting ?.. every article now is about someone calling someone else out for shameful behavior.. this article is about a bride who had a fight.. who's right?.. sigh
