Me and my siblings saved up to buy a cake for our dad for extra allowance. It was dad's birthday.
During high school I offered to sell old textbooks to lower graders for my classmates. I was getting 10% from each transaction. On my third year I was offering to do this for higher grade too, so I was selling those textbooks to my classmates. And yes, I made quite a nice money on it. Also during the year I was selling tests and exams. Empty or filled with correct answers (50% more). And when I finished I sold my own hand-written notes for final exams too. And my tip for life from that? Study hard and help your classmates (for money). 1) they will like you, 2) their parents will be happy for them so they will provide money, 3) you will get good money from it and 4) your classmates will be pretty useless in real life so you will have better chance to get a good job.
