In San Francisco they hired an 'artist' to design the new shelters (skirting the rules for public input) and when it was pointed out that they don't keep out the rain he said, "Why would you want to be waiting for a bus in the rain?" They have translucent wavy red plastic roofs that aren't slanted so their valley have all filled up with detritus. I'd say Rule #1 for roof design is that they provide run-off, wouldn't you?

It's not clear exactly what she means, and it's not just a language thing, she's just being very vague. Sounds to me like he has a bit of a kink, a s*xüal fantasy, about his wife s***wïng other men, so perhaps it was something he liked to talk about when they were having sëx. I can't understand how she/they believe they now have an open relationship when al they've done is join a few dating sites - it's still in the realms of fantasy, as far as I can tell.

Good idea but useless, unfortunately. As medical professionals we can’t use any information taken from helmet/bracelet/whatever. We can’t be sure the item is really yours, not borrowed. Even if the patient tells us his blood type himself, it needs to be checked in the lab. The test is quick and cheap, and not using the correct blood type can cause serious harm, possible death. Not worth risking.

As a Paramedic I always want to see the helmet of any motorcyclist involved in a collision, as damage can be a good indicator of the forces that the head has gone through. I was taught that the helmet always travels with the patient, as the medical staff in ED will do the same check, so it makes perfect sense to have blood group on the helmet. You can get Helmet ID tags in the UK as well, which can have vital emergency information on them, ideal for construction workers and motorcyclists (search helmet ID tag if interested...)

There's a really good documentary about this issue. I think it's called "Seaspiracy", and basically all the sea creatures that unalive due to plastic waste are a direct result of the waste left behind by the commercial fishing industry. This ad itself was paid for by subsidiaries of the commercial fishing industry. Plastic straws and bags are infinitesimal (tried to think of the "smallest" word I knew) in comparison.
