In my 40's, I started caving ("spelunking"), and have been in well over 100 wild caves, deep pits, etc. And now there is a smell that I never smelled before, but come across occasionally above ground. Difficult to describe, but like a wet black garbage back, no exactly musty, but .... A brand new smell in my mid-40's is just weird. I'm sure I have come across wet trash bags before, but never this odor. Weird.

Had an AP ( advanced placement) English class in 12th grade that had us writing essays every Thursday. Example: Man against nature is a popular theme in liturate. Pick a novel of literary merit and discuss...I did have a few " is this novel really of literary merit" discussions but I had an extensive list of books I had read and could generally craft a good paper so it was okay. In college, some of my math proofs for homework were close to 600 words.

Decades ago I "managed" a low-end jewelry store (think Claires). One clueless employee was caught ringing up fake sales in the register, making the receipt "void", and taking the money out of the register. She could not understand how I figured it out when her drawer was off by the exact amount of the voided sales EVERY TIME! Same store, different employee - we had security cameras aimed at the register and somehow, magically, the power cords got knocked out of the socket every time she vacuumed in that area. God I hated working retail - and I hated managing in retail even more.
