i am here to educate y'all on leaving kids and dogs in cars! Even at 70F (21 C) the car can get up to 100F (37C) degrees within fifteen minutes! Leaving anyone in a car at that temperature can result in heatstroke, brain damage, and death.. It only takes 15 minutes for that to happen. Heat is extra tough for dogs because they can only cool themselves down by panting! Even with the windows cracked, the car will still overheat VERY quickly in hot or warm weather. It's actually illegal in some states. If you notice a dog locked in a car, try and locate the driver of the car. If that's not possible, take note of the car's model, color, and license plate. Call the non-emergency number for your area, local police, or animal control and they should be able to help the dog get to safety and educate the owner of the dog about the dangers of leaving a dog in a car! I think it would be harder to explain to children why they were brought into a world that is grossly overpopulated where resources will be running out in their lifetime. But that is just me.
