Blobby looks a little weird, but who cares about the outside? They're really cool on the inside and that's what matters. This little creature is trustworthy, supportive, and refuses to put up with BS. No wonder 465k people follow them.
But if you still haven't heard about this adorable mush, we can introduce the two of you. They're a fictional character who stars in their own comic series called Blobby and Friends.
It's a project that focuses not only on wholesome everyday life but important social issues, like homelessness and racism as well. What's even more impressive, the stories also manage to squeeze a chuckle out of readers.

Try getting help as a man with an abusive woman. All of the posters in any help center show men being abusive. All of the shelters are for abused women. Walk into a shelter or court abuse center as a man? Good luck.

To learn more about Blobby and Friends, Bored Panda had a chat with Zack, a member of the team behind the comics. "I personally started with toy design and puppets, but was looking for an outlet to let me talk about things I care about," he told us. "To be honest, we didn't expect things to go the way they did and I am full of love and gratitude towards our audience."
Zack describes Blobby as "the magical best friend you always wished you had."

To all the people who say if schools never teach racism, racism will go away. This is only true if school is the only place racism is found, which it is not. If not taught in school, they will learn from a racist, or online racist echo chamber, and they can never challenge problematic beliefs with truth and history learned from school. I remember a experiment that was simlar, in a third grade classroom, social scientists created blue and brown eye segregation, which kids adopted quickly, and because they never learned about the lies of raceism, they were colorist towards blue eyed children. The experiment got backlash, even after they hugged it out, but the creator responded with 'why are we so upset over 1 day of pretend raceism, when countless black children suffer through raceism as a reality?

Many online comics stay away from difficult topics. A little pun here, a corny line there, and that's it. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with this concept. There's certainly an audience for it. I just mean that Blobby and Friends stands out from its competitors. Even though the series looked a lot like that in the beginning, too.
"I don't know if there's one thing that inspired me to start the comics in the way that it exists today. We actually started with something really simple, with funny and cute gags that were more at the surface level. As the account grew, we realized we had an opportunity to use Blobby to speak up about more serious topics," Zack explained.
"Listening to the reactions from our followers also made a huge difference for us. I can speak only for myself but I really feel like I’ve personally grown with this world we've created."

No. I do not want to live in a society where the homeless just goes to the undergrounds s**t on the floor, and they sleep just wherever they pleased with they smelly and dirty clothes. If you think that is normal, let them into your house and take care of them. I want to live in a system, where these people dont have to be in the streets in the first place. Where everyone has a chance to work, live, earn money. Where even the most helpless has place to go to find help. Whether it is shelter, a job or a safe house. Its not normal to live in the streets, not healthy, and regardless what you lie to yourself, they are disgusting. Give them chance, instead of a place on the bench, where they can piss themselves while asleep.

Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia, Ireland, West Indies, Jamaica, Poland, Slovakia ... all had migrants and refugees come to the UK and all were treated with equal contempt. When my family first came to England, I was too young to understand, but the most common sign you'd see read 'No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs' (Some were worse and said dogs welcome). Xenophobia doesn't care about your skin colour, It doesn't care if home was destroyed, it doesn't care if you were asked to come and work on the infrastructure.

Both. The immigration system needs to change AND ICE needs to be abolished. It's the worst of the agencies. Putting immigration under Homeland Security instead of the Department of Labor (as it had been until 1940) or Department of Justice (1940-2003) was a mistake. Labeling immigration "Homeland Security" treats it like a crime. It's not. Immigrants aren't dangerous criminals and refugees certainly aren't criminals. ICE was a kneejerk reaction to the 9/11 attacks, and it needs to go away.

As a kid I was taught this. Then I became an adult and met my boyfriend he mentioned thinking this serveral times, and all of a sudden I realized that I actually don't agree. When I listen to myself I appreciate women who are not afraid to dgaf about what men or other people feel about their bodies. And I actually find "muscular girls" attractive, just as I can see beauty in all different body types. I guess sometimes you can get stuck in what you are expected to think instead of what you truly think. In that way I think it can be positive to question yourself from time to time.

As a black person in America, I got racially abused by white teenagers in my jr high school from 6th to 8th grade. As a black person currently living overeas, I have had people take pictures of me with no consent and touch my very curly hair without my consent. Seriously! I wear super short shorts in the summer, to the point they are nearly like underwear. Why? To get attention? No! Because it's so hot and wearing longer shorts is uncomfortable. There was a good piece on here about how women think they're "not like other girls" because they don't relate to the picture of femininity presented to them by society. We're told that to be a woman is to match the stereotype, but since we don't match it we assume we're the outliers.

Couples who can't biologically conceive don't get enough credit for so often opening their hearts to options like adoption :) I imagine many kids were able to grow up loved and happy because of it (Not that anyone needs to have kids, or adopt, it's all a personal choice and there's no right or wrong to it!)

When growing up my parents wondered if I was Gay because I showed no sign of dating girls. Truth was that I was painfully socially inept and had no clue on how to proceed. Come to think of it, not all that much has changed. I'm still very socially inept and very oblivious to many things.

i have a very long, pointy nose and i used to hate it. i also have ears that stick out from head a bit. when i was around 16, i realized that, with my ears sticking out through my hair, and my long pointy nose, i looked a bit like an elf or fairy. loved my nose and ears ever since.

YES. I got a big jew nose and i LOVE it. noses and eyebrows are the facial features i pay most attention to. an interesting nose makes for a pretty face.

Eh, we all have our own preferred shapes of nostril vehicles. There's nothing inherently ugly about either small or big noses, it's just the person looking at them. If it's not someone you want to attract, why does it even matter

This reminds me of an escape room I went too. We were in a jail cell and needed to reach the keys outside to open the door. There was a sign on this crank light thing in there saying "do not pick up" or something along those lines. Found out from the cashier guy that he and his friends were the reason why. Apparently, instead of solving the puzzles and eventually building a hook pole, they just used the handle of the crank light to reach the keys. He was also very proud of the fact that they "solved" the room in only about 18 seconds.

I have cerebral palsy. I was walking through Walmart and this weird woman came up side hugged me, asking me where’d I live, what I do for living…. Just in awe that a disabled person was T grocery store. I finally walked away to this woman chewing “ you show them! You show them all!” It was pathetic

Most of the time people aren't even paying attention to the little things. People have a certain 'energy' to them, the way they move, the way they speak, their sense of humor, among other things, that make them attractive :) A picture is nice, but it doesn't capture the whole essence of a person! So don't be so hard on yourself

I love ever single one of these but... the standard image of a blob fish is actually its corpse. They live in the depths of the ocean where it's very high pressure and when they float to the surface and it's a lower pressure... they kinda... explode...

I agree. I find it ironic that the blob is actually a depressurized deep water fish exploding in pain and being used to represent a wise propaganda laced pet. (I don't disagree with the sentiments but racism and sexism issues only get stronger by making special groups of particular races/gender types rather than just accepting they are ALL human but like different things).
