Do you think you have the weirdest cat in the world? It turns out most people do, and they’re both right and wrong. Namely, cats’ behaviors, however strange they may seem, are pretty similar no matter where you go. Someone on Twitter asked people to share the weird things their cats do, and you can probably guess that the answers involve a lot of theft, knocking things over, turning on faucets, and staring ominously.

Take a look at some of the mischief and destruction other people’s silly cats get up to and comment with your own below!

That's sweet. Meanwhile, do you have a neighbor with a destroyed flowerbed by now?

Why are our adorable cats so fascinated with all the fixtures in the bathroom? Vets suggest that this might come from their wild instincts—still water in the great outdoors isn’t so fresh, and drinking from a bowl in a corner or up against a wall might feel like a vulnerable position. The flowing water that comes out of the sink or shower is simply more appealing for both of those reasons. There’s no wild explanation for why these weird cats like to use sinks as beds, but a sink is perfectly cat-sized and the porcelain might feel fresh and cool in hot weather.

If your pet cat is using inappropriate places as a toilet, though, there are several explanations. The first thing to try is always to take them to the vet for urine and blood analysis, because they could be acting out to show that they don't feel well.

If they have a clean bill of health, the problem could be that the litter box is not clean enough (in addition to frequent scooping, the box itself should be scrubbed out once a week,) in an inconvenient place (upstairs or downstairs, in a room that the cat finds unpleasant, or near their food,) or too small. If you have more than one cute cat, there could be a bullying situation preventing one from using the litter box, in which case the solution is to provide more boxes.

Why have a huge shelf that is completely empty? If not for your cat to climb?

This is completely normal. Mine does this all the time. It's meant to be a gentle form of affection. No need to worry and certainly no need to punish...

No, no - female dogs are bitches. Female cats are queens. I learned that in student teaching.

My cat bit my ear once and it bled, after it healed up it left a small hole. I go to school one day and one friend asks me “When did you get an ear piercing?”

Try giving her a new name. We have a cat that was a huge brat. We changed her name to something with softer letters in it and now she's the most amazing cuddle bug!

When I wake up, I'm used to notice scratches on my eyelids. My cat is not a b***h but she is just clumsy as hell and she loves to walk / jump on my face while I'm sleeping...

Humans bite for affection too. It’s encoded in many animal species. Cats and humans are but two. Granted, cats can go too far. I have a shallow puncture wound on my pinky as I’m typing this. (Never let non-shallow puncture wounds from pets go without getting antibiotics)

It would sting less if you had a fur pelt on that cheek like normal folk do.

Yeah... this is the owner's fault. The instant that cat bites, she needs to be put on the floor. No sitting with people if she can't behave. If she bites again, use a spray bottle on her.

Hell no, dont spray your pets. Its not harmless. It causes fear and stress and why would you want to do that to your beloved cat?

That's actually a condition called hyperesthesia. In some cats it's just cute, but in ones like mine, he'll catch his tail and bite it enough to draw blood if he doesn't get his medication. It's due to a nerve disorder where he has tiny seizures resulting in twitching on his back and skin. To him it feels like someone is poking him, then he turns around and sees his tail and figures it's his F-ING TAIL! MUST KILL TAIL! It's sometimes called 'rippling skin syndrome' because that's what it looks like before he tries to catch his tail. Easily treatable with meds that don't have a long term negative effect. This has been my PSA for the day
