This poor kitten was near death when he was found on roadside by a caring Florida family. They adopted him and nursed him back to health. Much to their surprise, he turned into such a huge fur-ball that they even created an Instagram account for him to share his happy moments. “Silas before and after!” Wrote the family on Instagram. “He was left on the side of the road, and near death. We gave him a forever home.” They never expected this little guy to turn out like this!

He may be very well fed, but he's not obese. He looks maybe a little overweight, but nothing crucial. IMO. He just looks like a big happy boy.

Murielle Mercier - he sheds so much and hates to be combed, so his fur gets matted and tangled. one shave at the beginning of the summer and he's a happy kitty. He hates the process but he gets even more affectionate once he calms down.
If it's in the summer and you have a cat that fluffy, it's a good idea to shave them. They can overheat and all sorts can go bad, and a few trips to the vet may be needed. :o My cats are, like, medium hair though, so I don't shave mine :L

It is wonderful to save an animal but it looks overfed, which will lead to trouble in his joints, and at risk of heart disease. Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind and quickly put him on a sensible diet.
If he's an outdoors cat and likes sunbathing, please put baby's suncream on his ears! Hopefully his owners and most white cat owners know this nowadays. (Yes, they'll probably try and lick it off)

yeh that's not fluffy fur making his cute belly big... it's all the kitty food he gets. He is adorable. And would continue to be adorable if he lost a few pounds.... but doesn't 'need' to, he's a bloody cat! what's her gonna lose the weight for? to fit in a bikini? to lower his risk of kitty diabetes? I've got a fluffy grey boy like him, but he is much smaller. get him wet and he looks half the size.

There is no way in hell that cat weighs only 11lbs
It would be "helpful" if you could just enjoy the story and leave the cat's health care to the owners.
