These days, it seems you can basically buy anything you want on the Internet - the online shopping market has been growing increasingly for the past few years, and while some are afraid to buy a pair of shoes online 'cause they might not fit, others are courageous enough to invest in an actual house and order it online. So, if you're one of the brave ones, make sure to check out this list of houses that are currently being sold on Amazon. Who knows, maybe you'll become a homeowner sooner than you expected?

Timber Frame Kit $39,976.00
Kit houses are also known as mail order homes or ready-cut houses and they were the most popular in the first half of the 20th century in the United States and Canada. These pre-cut houses are sold by various manufacturers and they come in different styles and plans. Once you order the house, you receive all the necessary materials as well as a construction plan of the house. It is important to mention that these houses usually do not include bricks, concrete, or masonry.
Laminated Log House $149,591.00
#tf-033 House $49,612.00
When it comes to pricing, the complete cost of building a kit house usually doubles the catalog price once the house is completely finished and this does not include the price of land. Despite this, building a kit house seems to still be significantly cheaper than a traditional one.
Laminated Log House Kit $63,965.00
Lillevilla Getaway $18,800.00
Another common practice is selling only the plan of the kit house meaning the owner will purchase the materials needed himself.
Timberline $34,900.00

Eagle Point $46,900.00
Most of the houses in the list are made out of glulam which is a glued laminated timder. Glulam has many advantages compared to other building materials, such as timber or log. As timber is chopped and glued together again, it eliminates defects and knots, making the surface quality very high. Glulam also offers strength that is 50-70% higher than regular timber. It also provides much better thermal insulation and structural stability.
Sommersby House $8,360.00
Ranger House $19,990.00
I like this one the most! :D Just needs a few strawberry plants on the porch and its perfect! :DDD
Of course, the material has its disagvantages as well. One of the main ones being high price, as it takes more effort to produce glulam than just cutting and proccessing timber. The way glulam is made also allows some manufacturers to use lower quality timber. And one of the final disadvantages comes with the aesthetic, as in essence, proccessed wood loses the natural look of wood.
Cliff Home $105,000.00
Avalon House $32,990.00
Cozumel Park $64,900.00
Vermont Cottage $17,259.00
Bella House $16,800.00
Eagle Vista $64,650.00
Richmond Barn $11,495.00
another Amazon post. BP must be getting paid for all of these Amazon post. Can we get more Cats and Dogs post please!
It's interesting to see odd ball things that are for sale. Maybe they should label them as "sponsored posts"?
Load More Replies...I just learnt; if you click on the tiny greyed out name on the bottom left , just under the pic.- it links to Amazon, with more pics , some - not all - floor plans.
Load More Replies...I hope they remember to include an allan key and instructions in Chinese, upside down, and wrongly numbered.
They're cute, but does anyone else feel like they're overpriced and under-insulated?
I could and would live in any of these if I didn't live in tornado alley :)
Good luck this tornado season! So far, my part of tornado alley is just getting drenched constantly.
Load More Replies...As with anything that isn't an identifiable brand on Amazon, beware, beware, beware - although I guess if was a Prime buy you could send it back when you found it didn't meet your local building codes. The writer prattles a bit about GluLam but I'm guessing the houses contain maybe a bit of it and a lot of plywood, particle board, oriented strand board or some form of hardboard -all of them being significantly different materials.
Considering how much amazon charges to come and install on purchased items such as a dresser, I am sure that you would be better off buying an already built home.
But then you need to pay for an appraisal, which may tip the scales back to even-steven.
Load More Replies...You'd want to make sure they met the building codes in your locality first.
Never mind, none of them ship to Australia as far as I can see.
Load More Replies...I am not an expert but shouldn't you own a land for house that is movable so to say? The big part of house price is the land, but if the home is montage, then you will have to own the land to place it, and all needed permits. And lots of skills to make the house. this does not seem practical at all.
No I can't buy any of the houses, too expensive. And another thing does these come with materials too?
Maybe, but Sears sold kit homes similar to these in the first half of the 20th century and thousands of documented Sears kit houses are still standing today, with possibly thousands more undocumented.
