I would say that is probably a young age to become a successful writer. It takes time to perfect the craft - unlike acting it can take a year to prepare for an "audition"- sending a finished manuscript to a publisher and authors rarely get their first attempt published, never mind become a best seller. Can't really think of any major fiction writers who achieved their fame and success by age 25.

Yes, how 32 is 'too late in life'? Specially in such a difficult profession as writer... Altough her previous strugles with depression and divorce are a great example of how things can always get better! :)

He knew Eddie Bunker, who wrote the screenplay, from prison where he held the prison boxing championship in two weight divisions while doing time in San Quentin. He ended up being hired as an extra and to teach Eric Roberts to box, they liked him so much he did a boxing scene for the film, and his career kept going. Most of us know Julia Child for her best-selling cookbooks and a TV show but it took a few career changes for her to discover cooking. In fact, she was quite bad at cooking when she was in her 30's. Right after graduation, she worked as a copywriter and during World War II she was a spy.
Things have changed in 1948 when she attended the world-famous Cordon Bleu cooking school. She wrote her first cookbook when she was 50 and launched her career as a chef in 1961.

Depends on your value of success. Frankly, wall street is just as much a den of thieves and liars as DC is.

I am sad that her TV shows are not broadcasted more here in Finland. I remember that couple of years ago some episodes of of her shows was on TV and it was very entertaining to watch - it had cooking, gardening and crafts.

Perhaps Sanders and Kroc were successful thanks to the years of experience that youth cannot provide.

Kroc was a con-artist sale man, he raped the McDonald's brothers of their brand and fortune. Perhaps it was years of being a crook that made him rich.

Ray Kroc was a Kroc-O-S**t. Nothing but a thief and a manipulator. He was NOT the "man behind McDonald's". He STOLE McDonald's from under the McDonald brothers, gave them a s****y buy out deal with little options AND to add insult to injury he kept their name.

Watch the movie "The Founder" on Netflix. I's about more than food, he changed the world. Think of McD what you will, but if you do not exclusively eat self prepared meals you'll owe thanks to this guy. And no, he was not nice.

Of course, few successful companies are started by 20- or even 30-somethings. Despite the myth of a graduate entrepreneur, and some young faces in Silicon Valley, most companies are only started by people who are well over 40. This seems pretty obvious that having experience (and contacts, and money...) helps when launching a business.

I think they're missing an "it" from the title. Saying they didn't "make" sounds like they didn't poop until they were 30.
