I 'leashed' my kid last yr at a theme park. I got some dirty stares, but she didn't run off, and no animals and/or exhibits were destroyed.

goes back to the talk of "leashing" the kids in public... not quite a bad idea after all.... my kids loved the children's leashes. They come in neat designs even, teddy bears, back pack styles, etc. They are safety for things like this, as well as keeping your child from being snatched!

I hear you. Major lack of parenting skills these days. Work in a thrift store and we have parents bringing in their little ones who take off to the toys area and do as they please pretty much with the parents consent. Then end up destroying things and making a complete mess. So frustrating!

With the news being full of stories with tragic endings of parents that simply "turned their head away for a second" - I'd think parents would pick and choose situations where they hovered over their children - TO ensure - nothing happened. Irony is, I'm betting these same parents have never let their wallet or purse out of their sight for just a moment.

Putting a $15K exhibit in a "shopping mall" was asking for trouble in the first place. But... parents just don't bother to look after their kids. I see it every day. Kids destroying things, kids running around when they should be standing in line waiting for a train... accidents waiting to happen and parents just standing there talking to each other or on the phone. Then they want to sue when things go south

I Made A Computer Out Of Wood

too much work.. plus you have to have all the materials to make this: drills, saw, the "custom made" (emphasis since when you have something custom made, it will cost you money) wood.. AND you have to buy all the components online or elsewhere. So basically, you put in too much work and money, which you could probably save if you just bought the regular desktop. They are after all not as expensive as in the early 2000's since laptops, noteboooks and tabs are slowly replacing desktops. BTW. you didn't make a WOODEN COMPUTER, you just made a WOODEN CPU CASING. We would be more amazed if your motherboard, keyboard, screen etc. were made out of wood. BUT NO you just made a case.. Nice try being creative-ish though, but next time you want to save money by making DIYs, try to use your common sense. XD
