Not many of us will ever have the privilege of knowing what it feels like to be in space, but thanks to Astronaut Reid Wiseman we can at least experience life beyond the stratosphere through his series of awe-inspiring tweets.

The American spaceman sent them from the International Space Station back in 2014, and as you can see, the view from up there is just as stunning as you'd expect. From spectacular sunrises and sunsets to a bird's eye view of Hurricane Arthur and the world's best view of the aurora borealis, Reid shows us the world we live in from a truly unique perspective. No wonder he has over 500k followers on Twitter.

I guess we can be glad to be here. Cosmically it is rather unlikely.

looks like frost on the window in winter or like a algea ... this shows that some shapes and patters are universal for all sizes and all sort of material. pure math!

The calmness of hurricans as seen from above compared to what they do on the surface level is just impressive.
