That's not how most of us believe though. I'm a Trump supporter and so is pretty much everyone I know, some lgbtq as well. None of us care what ppl do in their lives! The media will have people believe otherwise & sure there are some crazies but most of us aren't hateful people.

As someone who lives in the deep South in the middle of MAGA country and the bible belt, most of the ones I have meet hate gays. Also the ones who don't hate the gays are very quiet about it and actively allow the ones who do, to harass any gay person they meet. I have seen it multiple times and have went through it many a time. Your token gays don't help your argument when you are actively ignoring all the experience of other gay people who are actively hated and hurt because of people in your group. Not to mention all the anti-gay laws y'alls side are still trying to push.

For a sit-down meal at a restaurant, sure. For a cup of coffee... Meh. (Unless you're asking them to use an appliance that's already been switched off and cleaned, but they probably wouldn't even agree to make it in that case.) At the clinic, we take patient calls and walk-ins until close, even though either can easily turn into 20-minute+ conversations. Open for business means open for business. And it's a slippery slope: If you start resenting the customer who gives you work at 3 minutes to close, soon you start resenting every customer who gives you any work at all, and suddenly your job feels like it's 1,000 times harder than it really is. Burnout is a thing, but you have to manage your own outlook and expectations too, otherwise every day of your life feels like an impossible struggle. You're making coffee, dude. You could be cleaning sewers. Keep fighting for higher wages and benefits, but don't let your mental health hinge on whether or not a customer comes in 3 mins to close.
