Had to change mechanics after the curtesy car driver at my old garage started telling me all about his friend who was finally getting out of jail after being arrested for child abuse...and how he thought the guy was right for "smacking his bratty kid around". I tried to express my disagreement (without becoming confrontational, because omg he scared me)thinking I could maybe enlighten him... I spoke with the manager later that afternoon. Driver was still working there the next time I needed my car serviced, so I took my business elsewhere. It still bothers me, years later...(Wish I could've stood up for that kid...any kid that's bullied...by adults or other kids)

We have become so desensitized we don't want to hear about other people's issues then we wonder why is the world so messed up? Well you could have listened to Uber dude you might learn something.

I once had a wonderful conversation with a Syrian taxi driver in Stockholm. He's kind, funny, loving, and interesting. He told me about his family and life, showed me pictures of his two daughters, and gave me some useful life advices. (Normally I don't take any advice from other people because I'm always dependent on myself to get myself out of bad situations and I'm proud of it. But man. He's too good) we even talked about religions. So what I'm trying to say here is that, it's sometimes not bad to talk to random strangers and you may have some wonderful experiences as well, if you are in the mood once, give it a try and good luck!

Tried to take an Uber from Times Square area to the Bronx Zoo (wonderful place if you get a Chaney) and the Asian driver spoke little English and ended up in Jersey! I knew I wouldn’t be able to give him directions if he couldn’t follow his own gps. He felt so bad but we just enjoyed it as a sight seeing tour. It was so funny. Still gave him 5 stars because he was so embarrassed but he had bottled water and Dum Dums! Root beer Dum Dums!

I have never had a bad experience with UBER. I have had MANY bad experiences with taxis. Screw the cab companies.

We stuck with Uber in NYC. The one time the doorman hailed a taxi and it was so filthy inside. The driver wasn’t very friendly either. The Ubers were so clean and the drivers friendly. But I took an Uber from my suburban home to go the dr recently for my broken foot, figured it was cheaper than anyone taking off work. This car shows up and while the driver was very friendly and accommodating of my walking scooter, but the car was disgusting, there was a Pepsi bottle of chew spit in the cup holder, his mouth was full of chew and he had a raggedy flag tank top on. I was not expecting a hillbilly in a Passat. But he got me there safely and was polite so whatever!

in my household the word "uber" isn't allowed to be mentioned bc that one time my parents called an uber for the airport and it never came. but then my dad got a call when we were finally on the airplane about to liftoff saying the uber was on his way. -_- dammit uber

I use Lyft. Not only does it support facial hair, it has a nonsexist working environment. Uber is a bunch of college fraternity punks who struck app gold

That's ...well....b******t. There are a few drivers that regularly work in our neighbourhood. One is a young Japanese woman, there's a middle aged black woman who knows the routes around town like a goddess, there's a Middle Eastern man who is one of the best drivers I've ever seen, and there are two younger guys who are the most cautious drivers I've ever seen. .. There's also a fellow that has a second job in construction and he shares his car with his brother, who's a teacher at Chicago Public schools. //// You need to pay attention to people before shooting off your mouth.
