All that glorious, probably hand-carved wood, just left to rot. What a terrible waste of someone's work.

thank you - I stumbled on you by mistake - I had found some prat who wanted to use as much carbon based fuel as he possibly could taking his partner and small child around the world in order to 'travel', but all he seemed to photograph were sights and he kept seeing them, but didn't seem to be there so he kept jetting off somewhere else, and then felt the greedy need to blog about it - you have shown what we have on our doorsteps, what we can see, breathe and experience - I like xx

I love the structural designs on the ceiling.Thise arches are beautiful and must have been so hard to design and construction. So sad that these buildings are left to just decay.....
What do you think ?
It would be nice to know where they were taken and a bit of info about every building.
I agree with you. Its something i can add, but off course i can't give away their exact locations!
You can't give away the location because you weren't supposed to be there, or because you want to be mysterious?
Just some information that tells us what we're looking at. For example, is 6 a hospital, hotel, apartment building, or what? Was the grand fireplace in 1 part of a home at some point, or a public building? Locations aren't necessary, just tell us what it is (or was) we are looking at.
A quick search shows others photographers are more willing to share. http://www.abandonedscotland.com/Explores/princes-pier-railway-line-tunnels/ https://www.theurbanexplorer.co.uk/ http://www.abandoned-britain.com/
Absolutely stunning buildings and yet so sad that they have been handed over to nature to consume... To think theses buildings were once filled with sounds and laughter and probably hold many happy memories in people's memories.. Beautiful photos and nice to see the UK'S old buildings featured on Bored Panda...
Lovely. Really lovely.
Thank you!
Do you have a website?? :)
