AITA- My MIL came to our home after taking my kids(10&7 females) to church. Five minutes into her being there,(I should add she's a MK sales woman) she tells my wife (33) that wrinkles around her eyes getting bad. Now, my wife implores that she appreciates the fact her mother is "real", but then spends the rest of the day inspecting herself in the mirror and obviously feeling self conscious about her looks. Back to the moment of context, after she says this to my wife she continues to try and and sell her several different kinds of product to combat this. Now, we are a one income family, mine being the sole means. Aita for being offended that in our own home, MIL makes a demeaning comment on my wifes looks amd then tries to profit off said comment? My wife and I have been together for 13+ years and everytime her mother does this(quite often) she becomes down about her looks for quite sometime. My wife and I, although not fiercely, disagree about my MIL intent on making such comments. I hold my tounge in respect for my wife, but years of this kind of interactions with my MIL have madebme short fused.-AITA

NTA, it is horrible that she makes her self conscious in order to make money, but I don't really know own the little details, maybe mil really needed money or was low on rent or something
