It seems that it is not the end of heated discussions on abortion laws and demonstrations showing what people stand for as thousands of people gathered to support abortion rights all across the United States on October 2nd. After the new Texas law that severely restricts access to abortion was passed, pro-choice supporters are afraid that such restrictions will be imposed in other states too.
After these demonstrations took place in all 50 states, the internet was filled with pictures of people with colorful and meaningful signs, posters, and t-shirts that go against anti-abortion laws. Bored Panda has already presented some of the reactions of people who were very vocal about abortion restrictions as well as managed to get a glimpse at what the world would look like if a fetus was considered a baby. This time, let’s see how people expressed their thoughts during recent demonstrations.

It is crazy that everyone is "forgiven" for trying alcohol or even drugs that first time due to curiosity, yet if you live in Texas, have that first drink at 15, make some spontaneous choices to have s*x with the cute boy and fall pregnant - sorry sister you are now a mother. The protests were organized by Women’s March. Their main mission is to “create transformative social change”, involve more women, make sure to keep the diversity, and educate people on various and serious issues such as the anti-abortion law.
In the nearest future, the Supreme Court will be hearing a case that could reverse Roe v Wade protecting woman’s right to choose to have an abortion without restrictions posed by the government. The Court will now focus on Mississippi's 15-week ban on abortion.

According to Texas law, abortion is prohibited six weeks into pregnancy. Having in mind how early that is, at this time women don’t even know themselves that they are pregnant. Besides this, it encourages people to file a lawsuit against those they believe had or performed an abortion, an exchange getting $10,000.

I was born with a debilitating disease. I would rather have been aborted than forced into suffering. Many disabled people do, and most disabled people support health-based abortions because they know what it's like to have no quality of life (and then be bullied into being 'grateful' that this was, oftentimes voluntarily, done to them). So definitely not 100% would choose to live. And forcing babies into the world solely to suffer is not noble.

I live in a country where abortion and any contraceptive measure were illegal (and severely punished) for a few decades. The result? A national tragedy: a huge number of women who died or were left mutilated trying to abort an unwanted pregnancy; thousands of abandoned children, who were sent to orphanages; people imprisoned for involvement in abortion activities; countless families destroyed and traumatized for life. And I can still see the terror in my mother's eyes when she remebers those times. There is even a documentary on this subject, it's called "Children of the Decree". Maybe all these "pro-lifers" should see it.

So, I am honestly curious...do you provide care, monetary or otherwise, for immigrant women or their children? Do you advocate for healthcare for all? Are you pro death penalty? Do you think children and pregnant women should stay on the other side of the "wall"? Do you believe that a child victim of rape or incest should be forced to remain pregnant? Do you wear a mask? Do you think an adult victim or rape should be forced to be pregnant? What if it is a mentally disabled woman who was raped? What if birth control fails? What if the the child will be born with a painful condition that is incompatible with life and will only cause it horrific pain for the short time it is alive? How many cells must there be to create a child? Is cardiac activity the same as a heartbeat? Do you think that we should provide post-natal support to all women, regardless of their race or immigration status? Do you think men should be punished for impregnating women?

I love when they call themselves "pro life" but are against abortion if the kid or the mother is not healthy, they are against public health, pro guns... Like many said before. They are not pro life they just want to punish women for having sex. If I get pregnant there is a very high chance that i will die or experience terrible complications and barely no chance of a healthy baby being born. How is not allowing women like me to abort "pro life"? I am glad to live in belgium where we have rights.

a clump of cells is not an unborn baby, also, I'm 14. if I got pregnant ifyou would want me to have the emotional and financial weight of having a child on my already unstable teenage shoulders AND the ridicule and harassment from my community that would probably lead me to suicide, if you WANT ANY YOUNG WOMAN like myself to go through that just to save a lifeless clump of cells you can f*****g die in a hole because nobody should have to go through that. From a medical perspective, this is no different than any other medical choice. Want a nose job? THat's legal. Want a vasectomy? Nobody cares. Want not to be a mother? Okay. And, since hysterectomies are *not* allowed under insurance as elective procedures anymore (in the US, note, which is where I am, and I'd know, I begged for one).... What's that leave women? Birth control (never 100%) or abstinence (so why should not wanting motherhood mean giving up sexual activity?). Pro-life.... The life that's walking around and asking me, "Can you help me? I'm in trouble..."

Pro-life? Is that why they'd rather arm teachers than enact rational gun laws? Is that why they're against vaccines and preventative measures to reduce viral spread? Is that why they're ok with cops acting like judge jury and executioner? Is that why they're denying medical care for military veterans dying from exposure to toxic burn pits?

I feel like if it were mandatory for the father to stick around and properly raise a child (and pay child support etc.) no matter whether they wanted it or not and not be able to just walk away and leave mom and child behind - abortion would be legal in a week. Because as soon as it's inconvenient for a man something gets changed. Force the woman to have a baby she doesn't want for whatever reason - okay for men. But forcing the man in the same situation (minus the being pregnant and giving birth part which can be traumatic as well, especially if unwanted) - Oh No YoU cAn'T mAkE mE hAvE a ChIlD I dIdN't wAnT! (Hypothetically of course, I know there are so many cases where having the biological father around would be worse if not outright dangerous for the mother and child e.g. inc*st or r*pe)
