15 Most Creative Calendar Designs
The English word calendar is derived from the Latin word kalendae, which was the Latin name of the first day of every month. As you probably already know, calendar is a system of organizing days for social, religious, commercial, or administrative purposes.
It has been used since ancient times. Many civilizations and societies have devised a calendar, usually derived from other calendars on which they model their systems, suited to their particular needs. The oldest calendar may be 30,000 years old – an engraved bone plaque found at Blanchard, in the Dordogne region of France. Another ancient prehistoric monument Stonehenge is also thought to be a giant Neolithic calendar.
Nowadays calendars are usually made of paper, and you probably have seen one in your lifetime. However, it doesn’t necessary have to be that way – check out these 15 creative and unusual calendar designs!
