The moon came closest to Earth for the first time since 1948, and people all over the world were tilting their lenses towards the sky with high expectations. It was supposed to look 14 per cent bigger and 30 per cent brighter, but there were a few... problems.
City lights and clouds blocked the amazing view in a lot of places. Supermoon became a super-disappointment and the frustration eventually evolved into a hilarious meme battle. Bored Panda collected these reactions to the lunar phenomenon and made this list to help everybody deal with the sorrow. Don't worry people, there's always 2034!

never seen so many large moons as I have in the last few years, is it loosing orbit ?. Did the US. nuke the pilot .?

Yup, same with my ol' Note 3. But if you got something more recent (ie Note 4 onwards) you would have the double-pixels in your phonecam, supposedly able to see even better at night than your eye can. Too bad about Note 7, guess I'll have to wait for Note 8 or whatever. Why Samsung couldn't just forget the 'unibody' no-access design, and replace the battery with the last one that worked, wish I knew, could have saved a lot of loss for them...

Umm...why not? If you use the zoom in function, you can get a halfway decent picture. Obviously these people didn't, though.

At 5:30 pm in Ottawa Canada, on November 14th, the sun had already set... Plus, this is East North East from where I was standing, there's no way the sun could set there... :D
