”Mineral” is not the first thing to come to mind when you hear the word “beauty,” and that‘s a pity because they look so, so neat. However, this selection of some of the pretty minerals and stones in the world will be a feast for your eyes.

A mineral is a naturally occurring substance that is solid and inorganic, representable by a chemical formula, and has an ordered atomic structure. Rocks, unlike minerals, don't have a specific chemical composition and can be made of both minerals or non-minerals. Although there are over 4,900 known types of these cool minerals, the ones here are just the most beautiful ones that our readers and we could find.

Check our compilation of beautiful rocks and pretty stones below!

Just want to make sure everyone's on the same page: this is beautiful, but while the geode druzy is natural, the color is not. This is a regular quartz geode dyed red. "Normal" rose quartz does not form geodes, though there is a rarer type of pink quartz quartz that does form geodes, the crystal structure is different and the color is not nearly this vibrant.

Yeah, only blue lace agates and holly blue agates are real (and they get their blue color from titanium). When quartz is blue due to mineral inclusions, now THAT'S rare. Usually, minerals inside quartz that make it blue are papagoite, magnesioriebeckite, or crocodilite. Sometimes, quartz is fused with gold to get aqua aura quartz. Most quartz with this deep a color, however, are almost always dyed.

This is probably not real carnelian (which I assume is what was meant by carneole, as carneole isn't a thing). The red color is way brighter than any carnelian I've ever seen, and the way the cracks are darker than the rest of the stone makes it looks like it was dyed and more dye seeped into the cracks.

Yeah, and I doubt this is real carnelian either. It's way too bright in color, and the cracks are darker than the rest of rhe stone, a common feature of dyeing.
